Best Spooky Movie on Basic Cable

TCM to Air John Carpenter's Original 1980 Pirate/Ghost Story THE FOG

Unlike it's wretched 2005 remake, John Carpenter's 1980 oriignal version of THE FOG is goose-bump inducing good fun. With a stellar cast (including mother and daughter Jamie Lee Curtis and Janet Leigh) THE FOG focuses on a century old "pirate curse" that rolls into a coastal town masked by a dense fog. If you like creepy, old-fashioned scares, enjoy THE FOG this Wednesday on TCM.

GONE GIRL Still Not Gone from the Weekend's Top Box Office Spot

Former RAZZIE Poster Boy Ben Affleck has completed his redemption with GONE GIRL, which held onto the #1 slot for a second weekend. Our Worst of the Weak pick DRACULA: UNTOLD came in a so-so-2nd. Typical of horror films, ANNABELLE fell off over 50% in week two, and the Rapture/Disaster dud LEFT BEHIND toppled to 10th place. For complete B.O. MoJo Weekend Chart, CLICK HERE.

DRACULA UNTOLD Retells a Tale That's Been Retold Too Many Times

Dracula has been the subject of almost as many bad movies as Frankenstein - But today Universal comes out with yet another remake focused on The Neck-Nibbling One. DRACULA UNTOLD looks like it cost plenty, but it's getting plenty of rotten reviews at R.T. Could this Undead Tale be..."One of Ours"?? To join our Forum discussion of DRACULA UNTOLD (a.k.a. the re-re-re-re-re-remake) CLICK HERE.
