Did anyone else notice how the Globe nominees and the ones picked by Broadcast Critics are almost IDENTICAL? Here's a LINK to check out their noms, and see for yourself. What I think this suggests is that there's a severely limited pool of worthy films for this year's "Best Film" honors. Meanwhile, as anyone who's followed our Forum lately knows, we at the Razzies have an embarrassment of riches for 2006...

Ben Affleck must have taken acting lessons during his screen hiatus in 2005, because he went from being nominated for two Razzies in 2004 to a Golden Globe nomination in 2006.
It might also have to do with "Hollywoodland" probably being the most serious film he has been in since "Good Will Hunting." Maybe he can applieshimself better in serious films, and had no business being in so-called "comedies" like "Gigli" and "Surviving Christmas"... |

I think Affleck definitely did some soul searching about where he wanted to go and got serious.

I might be giving away secrets but I read in the local paper that even though Dreamgirls is favourite for "Best Musical or Comedy" it may be given to Borat. Apparantly a load of Globe Voters are voting for the movie. High 5!
