In the entire 27 year history of The RAZZIES®, only the following people have willingly collected their $4.79 worth of Spray-Painted Gold: Bill Cosby for LEONARD: PART 6 (Cosby arranged to have the film's three RAZZIES® re-created out of 24-carat-gold and Italian marble, funded by Fox Networks to the tune of $27,500. They were then presented to him "live-on-tape" at Harrah's Lake Tahoe, and his acceptance of them was broadcast during "sweeps " on the Fox LATE SHOW) Paul Verhoeven for SHOWGIRLS (The Dutch director became the first "winner" ever to attend our ceremonies when his film set an all-time RAZZIE® record with 13 Nominations and 7 "wins." In addition to his own trophy for Worst Director, Verhoeven also retrieved the statuette for Worst Picture) Brian Helgeland for THE POSTMAN (Helgeland won both an Oscar and a RAZZIE® in the same weekend. His Best Screenplay Oscar was for L.A. CONFIDENTIAL. He arranged, after the fact, to be presented with his RAZZIE® for Worst Screenplay in his production office on the Warner Brothers back lot) Tom Green for FREDDY GOT FINGERED (When Green's wretchedly unfunny "comedy" about child abuse and playing with dead animals "swept" The 22nd Annual RAZZIES®, he was on hand to collect all five of its statuettes, including Worst Picture, Worst Actor and Worst Director. Green got worldwide press coverage for doing so) Michael Ferris (One of a reported 27 screenwriters who had a hand in concocting 2004's CATWOMAN, he gamely attended our 2005 ceremonies, happily accepted his Worst Screenplay dis-honor, and thanked us for boosting the film's video sales) Halle Berry for CATWOMAN (Exhibiting a wonderful sense of humor, and a delightful willingness to poke fun at herself and her big budget box office bomb, Berry became the first True Star ever to appear on our stage. As the Video Clips attest, her appearance brought the house down at The 25th Annual RAZZIES®)

What a fantastic speech. She really should be proud of herself for
submitting to that. |

Following up her Oscar win for MONSTER's BALL with a Worst Actress trophy for CATWOMAN, Mizz Berry graced our stage for nearly 8 minutes, and was alternately touching and hilarious. HERE, for the first time in HI-DEF on our YouTube RAZZIE Channel, is her entire speech...
