I really don't know, dude, outside of the Razzies going the way of the Oscars and having 10 slots and over 20 catagories for everything. I also think that in the end, voters vote for the highest profile movie, so that they give the biggest, massive razzie at Hollywood.

I think it all came down to not enough voting members saw this movie. Carmen Electra should've won for SCARY MOVIE 4 only,not for this.It was just a cameo.

Ok, I really do not mean I hate movie people like and love what they hate, it was an expression....kinda, like you know...ANYWAY, there are some movies people just over exaggerate what they really are. Well, maybe one reason I don't like some good movies is because I set a high expectation for them, like Reservoir Dogs, which I thought was decent but no where being close to a great film. And reasons why I recommend almost every movie I watch is that I have no expectations for movies I watch, except some I know will be good like Harry Potter. I put the expectations low on Date Movie, Little Man, etc... because people hated it so much so I decided to go with their opinions to watch the movie and you know what? By the way, I don't know if anyone frequents this thread anymore, but here's an issue of a webcomic that I frequently read...

(And as a sidenote, Joe gave Date Movie a 1.5 out of 10. Considering he was the only person that gave Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo a 9 out of 10, I'd say that's a BAD sign.)

Really, well, did you actually forget that this movie was voted as IMDb's Worst Film of 2006? Because I think you really forgot about that part.

I'm really getting tired of people going with the majority. I, happen to always be in the minority, hating films people love and liking films people hate. This was not a bad film. I even find the Mr. and Mrs. Smith film spoof was much funnier in this movie (don't deny that, haters!). The commentary for the people who didn't like the film said they like that parody in Date Movie rather than Mr. and Mrs. Smith. And this is people's opinions. Sorry, I just liked Little Man and you can trash talk on me but I really do like that movie and this one. As I said, ENTIRELY my opinion. I hope people don't argue...

Dude, check this out, this is what I found on Scary Movie 4: King Kong appears on the film poster but does not appear in the film. However, King Kong appears in Date Movie, that's for sure.

I've looked at the Movie Connections for DATE MOVIE as well as the movie connections for SCARY MOVIE 4, and saw that DATE MOVIE was spoofing off more than just all those other Date Films, but also a bunch of other films like Star Wars: Episode III: Sith Happens, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Kill Bill: Vo. 1, King Kong, etc. while SCARY MOVIE 4 was spoofing off The Grudge, The Village, Saw, Saw II, War of the Worlds, etc. But now I've heard they're making a 5th Scary Movie. I was all like, "Oh man, can't they ever get enough?" I do have one question though, Why didn't Carmen get nominated also for Cheaper By the Dozen 2 as well? She should have been nominated for Worst Supporting Actress for Cheaper By the Dozen and Dirty Love. She ended up being nominated for just Dirty Love. Also forgot, she's also in this film called Full of It, which comes out the same day as Wild Hogs. Think about it. After being knocked out from the Worst Supporting Actress Razzie for the last two years, losing in 2004 to Britney Spears for Fahrenheit 9/11, and then in 2005 to Paris Hilton for House of Wax, she beats out the other four nominees for this award. I remember that part in Scary Movie 4 where they were paroding The Village, which was considered the last film M. Night Shyamalan did with the Disney Co. before they ended his contract when he tried to have them to distribute Lady in the Water, but turned it down, and did the right thing in doing that.

I found out that they are planning on doing a 5th Scary Movie, and it may have a scene where they would be paroding Lady in the Water. But, I mean, a 5th? I just keep on asking, Can't they ever get enough? But the answer is, Hollywood can't get enough of any of these sequels.

I should say that's the big problem with romantic movies. Some people just say they're funny, but then just go too far with too much bad stuff, and it just starts getting annoying. And we mentioned this before. The problem with this movie is that you can't parody any other romantic date movies, and that's exactly what it did.
