Oh right, that would explain why everyone then complained about it for two years until Michael The Hack Bay and Shia LaButtHole finally admitted that is was a bad movie after all. RESPONSE from Head RAZZberry: It made a lot of money, yes. But that's not the same as claiming "a lot of people liked" it. When it "won" several of our top dis-honors, I found it significant that almost no one leapt to its defense. And, years later when another sequel was about to be released, both the film's lead actor and its director did interviews in which they "admitted" they knew this film was not up to par...

"Transformers 2" could have filled the entire Worst Screen Couple category all by itself. The Ghetto Bots, Devastator's wrecking balls, etc. and any of those combinations would have easily won if on the ballot. But like Bullock herself said, "All About Steve" was about a socially retarded woman stalking a man who didn't love her across America. Yeah, that doesn't make for a great screen couple, hence why it won. But with Worst Ensemble being under heavy consideration, Worst Couple might be a thing of the past, and rightfully so. Movies aren't sold by one or two known stars in the movie, they are sold by 5, 10, 15, or even 20 stars int he movie.

Yeah because Bay escaped Razzie wrath with Pearl Harbor, i think this was the Razzies' time to get revenge on him. For the most part, Bay's my favorite "guilty pleasure" director, but i was more than happy to see him get the win, mainly because i actually enjoyed the first Transformers and thought #2 was the biggest disappointment of last year.  

My only beef with the nods was the in Screen Couple, with Shia Labouf and Megan Fox or any transformers. I thought the nod should have gone to the "ghetto-bot" Twins, who were about the dumbest movie characters of all time (next to Jar Jar) and were easily the worst thing about the movie, which says something. 

I guarantee if the Twins were on the ballot, Bradley Cooper and Sandra Bullock wouldn't have stood a chance!

I didn't say I didn't like that it won. Yes,I saw at least 10 worse movies in '09, but this is still a bad movie. And,once again, if there's a movie Michael Bay deserves a Razzie for, it is this one.

Okay, the fact this movie won Worst Picture is being debated again, so here I go:  

1. Screenplay: If you can spot the plot holes, it's a flawed script. Plus, like I said before, this script seemed like it was thrown together overnight by a bunch of 12 year olds. It was rushed into production due to the writers' strike, and it painfully shows. It rightfully deserved Worst Screenplay.  

2. As for the other Worst Pictures. "All About Steve", as cvcjr points out, Sandra Bullock gets full blame for this one. It was indeed unfunny and she should have known better, but even though it was bad, it wasn't as soulless as "Transformers 2" was. "Old Dogs", the only reason why this movie got a nod was because of John "Battlefield Earth" Travolting and Robin "Losing My Funniness" Williams, not enough of an excuse to win. "Land Of The Lost", Will Ferrell being annoying, yes, a bad movie, however, it bombed at the box office while "Transformers 2" made nearly $1 billion! And lastly "GI Joe", the only other movie worthy besides "Transformers 2". Bad acting, stupid story, 32 bit video game like CGI. But "Transformers 2" was made by Michael Bay, who was long overdue for a Razzing, and got what was coming to him. 

So out of the five choices, "Transformers 2" was the most deserving to win due to all it's HUGE problems with the script, the fact it made so much money, and because it's was Bay's turn to be Razzed. That is why it won, whether you like it or not.

Do I agree with the Razzie noms this got? 

"Actress": Not sure.In the first movie, Megan Fox didn't do much. But nobody could with an under-developed character like that. This time,she got used more than she should've. With the exception of one particular scene, I didn't see much acting.  

"Supporting Actress": Agreed. At one point Julie White's character gets high, but I see her acting the same way that in other scenes. 

"Couple": Disagree.Fox and Shia LeBeouf do have chemistry, and so does he with BUMBLEBEE.

"Screenplay": Disagree. There were like 2 boring scenes, and I felt that the plot was being made-up as they went along. Also I saw the plot holes. But even though it's a bad script, it's not awful. 

*"Director": Agreed! Many decades ago, having great effects was something so cool. Fans don't understand why that doesn't continue. If I had to explain to them, I'd use this as an example. Michael Bay provides us so much movement and noise that we can't understand what's going on. 

**"Remake Or Sequel": Agreed. The first movie got lucky,and this one not only takes advantage of that, while giving the first one a bad name. 

"Picture": Disagreed. Having all those things in mind,the movie is bad. But it's not the worst of the year.

I'd give it 4/10.

My point exactly, saturnwatcher. I'm sure they are plenty of haters out there who love movies that are bloated with bad CGI, gaping plot holes, bathroom humor, racist and sexist undertones, editing mistakes, a lead actress choosen for her car washing abilities, plus a script that was apparently thrown together over one weekend. 

But the Razzies voters do not love movies like this. And if you don't like it, Merg, go make your own damn Worst Movie Award show.

As with all the others, now forgotten (and I refuse to take the next three months to go back and try to look all of them up) I will wear the title of "angry little girl" with pride.

There is one other point I want to make to Merg: Just because I loved Mr. Potato Head as a child, doesn't mean I want to see Mr. Potato Head The Motion Picture....followed by 8 lame sequels. Some beloved things from our childhood are best left there, as precious memories. 

Incidentally, I didn't vote for Trannies 2, but the majority spoke. And I think it was a deserving choice.

Yet again another Angry ( Did you see that "Merg" I put a "N" in "Angry" instead of "Agry", there is a free spell checker you can use the next time you postWink) Stallone Supporter...whoops, sorry I meant Bay Supporter (Sorry guys, I get these people confused because it sounds like they all come from the same place) who was not happy with the Majority of our Voting MembershipCry. Well Merg, I hate to tell you that I was alone this year because my Horse (Land of the Lost) was in the Minority and did not amply get the justice it deserved. By far, Trannies Too (As it is known here) was a way better movie on so many levels than the "Re-imaged" Land of The lost. I honestly think that Trannies Too won because sooooo many more people saw it than Land of The Lost (I really wish I had been one of those people, I sometime's still go take a shower with just thinking of the movie and feeling so unclean!!!Dead). I seriously bet if the same amount of people who saw Trannies Too had seen the Land of the Losers (What I call this movie) it may have been a different story last night. Despite all your whine little ignorant razzie BS and giving Revenge of the Fallen the award for worst picture of the year, I do give you some credit for certain movies like Battlefield Earth... but that is all I can give you.
 
If you honestly think Revenge of the Fallen was the worst film, then I would hate to see what you call a good film. You must have had a very unhappy childhood to not love seeing something from your childhood being reborn for the new generations because Transformers was just awesome then and now.
 
Let me explain. Revenge was not so much for character development as it was for furthering the story of Transformers, which it did very well. Yes, they spent lots of money to make it look awesome and there were parts that were not great but the overall effect of Revenge of the Fallen fulfilled exactly what it was designed for, providing bang for your buck.
 
The story was pretty typical for Transformers, Decepticons get the upper hand only to have the Autobots win out in the end. Classic Transformers all the way.
 
So you whiny little agry girls can complain about this "fan-boy" bashing your completely ignorant choice, but really, your complaints are just born out of jealousy of a tried and true formula put to a theme of your youth and turning it into an even bigger money-maker.
 
Revenge of the Fallen was one of the best movies of the year. If you think this movie was worse than G.I. Joe (bad acting, bad cgi, bad script, just about bad everything), you are sadly mistaken and have no clue was to what a good movie is. Oh, and your berry, berry good comments... wow, if you think that is a quality line... it explains everything about why Hollywood mostly thinks of you as a joke and why people here have names like burnhollywoodburn... angry much over your rejection by Hollywood? Get a clue and a life.
