    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.razzies.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=419">Brierfox</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> RAZZIE Class of ’06 Reporting 4 Duty,SIR!<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> December 14 2006 at 6:28pm<br /><br /><P>Most of the people I know who saw this movie were not just disappointed, they were disgusted.&nbsp;&nbsp; You don't often find people angry at a movie because they generally stay away from movies they know they won't like.&nbsp;But previews of "Annapolis" looked interesting,&nbsp; so a lot of people, including me, gave it a look.</P><P>&nbsp;&nbsp; <BR>It turned out to be bad, very bad. The plot was wrong, the dialog was wrong, the acting, well, there was no acting, the scenery <EM>was</EM> nice, but the acting...ah the heck with it.<BR>It was just a bad movie!<BR><BR></P>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.razzies.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=419">Brierfox</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> RAZZIE Class of ’06 Reporting 4 Duty,SIR!<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> September 01 2006 at 3:38pm<br /><br />My dad was called back into the Navy to serve in the Korean War just after I was born.&nbsp; My mom and her friend made a sailor suit and photographed me wearing it.&nbsp; I looked very cute and no doubt it made my dad happy.&nbsp; It did not make me want to go to Annapolis.&nbsp; Watching just the previews of this Movie made me want to puke.&nbsp;&nbsp; It was an insult to all the men and women who worked their butts off to graduate from Annapolis.<br>After reading and seeing real stories about improper behavior (ie: instructors screwing cadets) at our military accademies, this movie should win an award for the "Most Tasteless and Thoughtless movie of the decade".<br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.razzies.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=419">Brierfox</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> Official Site (w/TRAILER) for ANNAPOLIS<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> July 02 2006 at 6:57am<br /><br /><P>Oh wait, there's more!&nbsp;&nbsp; "sir, yes sir" is a quote referring to an officer.&nbsp; An officer oversees a platoon's training, he does not do the training.</P><P>The actual physical training is done by Marine&nbsp;DIs, (drill instructors), who are non-coms specially trained.&nbsp; They are patient, reserved, never, ever becoming personal, and always, (did I mention?) being&nbsp;very patient.</P><P>For Annapolis cadets, four years of grueling classroom work await them.&nbsp; They are under constant harassment from those more senior to them, they are constantly learning to obey orders instantly.&nbsp; They learn, easy or the hard way that in war, only the one who is willing to be led can become a leader.</P><P>Like so many movies of this genre, the writers miss the whole point of the training.&nbsp; I recommend they that either join the military...or stick to writing intentional comedies.</P>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.razzies.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=419">Brierfox</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> Official Site (w/TRAILER) for ANNAPOLIS<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> July 02 2006 at 6:46am<br /><br /><P>I just watched the trailer!&nbsp;&nbsp; I spotted and heard no less than five (5) lines/scenes&nbsp;from "An Officer and a Gentleman"&nbsp; !!!</P><P>The main character is a social outcast, his DI is black and there is a female interest, who BTW should not be an interest according to official Navy regs.&nbsp;&nbsp; AND:&nbsp; gasp, surprise surprise, during a military crisis it's up to our hero fresh out of the academy to save the world!</P><P>BTW&nbsp;&nbsp; calling Annapolis the toughest academy is stretching it.&nbsp;&nbsp; I will admit I could never pass it's qualifications in math and high science,&nbsp;&nbsp;but then that is never mentioned is it?&nbsp;&nbsp; Are we supposed to assume he was a straight "A" student?&nbsp;&nbsp; Based on qualities of leadership, community service and social interactions, this kid never would have been selected to even apply.</P>]]>

She even dressed him in a sailor suit as a young boy. </P><P>Fortunately, she didn't adorn him in a pink cowboy hat, or we would have had to sit through Brokeback Mountain.</P>]]>
