Oh my, I have news that will make Razzie voters' mouths water.

"Arnold Schwarzenegger is heading back to the big-screen - he has signed up to appear in fellow muscleman Sylvester Stallone's upcoming film The Expendables.

Schwarzenegger put his acting career on hold when he was elected Governor of California in 2003. But he is set to make a return with a brief appearance playing himself in Stallone's star-studded movie.

The film, about a team of mercenaries heading to South America on a mission to overthrow a dictator, will also star Ben Kingsley, Eric Roberts, and Mickey Rourke. Filming is scheduled to start shooting next month."

Schwarzenegger and Stallone in a movie together?! Not to mention poor Kingsley, the way his career has gone to hell as it were, and Roberts whose career has it's share of ups and down (I saw this clip of him in a movie in which the last spoken line of dialog was "Ever sky dive naked into a volcano?" WTF?!). And Rourke, this is how you follow up an Oscar worthy preformance? My head hurts just thinking about it.

My crystal ball says the following:

Worst Picture. Who should win: "Disaster Movie"/"Meet The Spartans". Who will win: "DM"/"MTS" OR "In The Name Of The King". Why: Seltzerberg vs. Ewe Toilet Bowl, who sucks more?

Worst Actor. Who should win: Marky Mark, for not only appearing in two of the worst movies of the year, but also only being able to express anger and no other emotion. Who will win: Either Mike Myers or Eddie Murphy. Why: Both of them have gone the way of the ex-SNL funnyman who is no longer funny.

Worst Actress. Who should win: Jessica Alba, since she's long overdue. Who will win: Either Kate Hudson or Paris Hilton. Why: Kate Hudson has been doing the same movie for the past five years, and it gets worse every time. Paris Hilton is ... well ... Paris Hilton, enough said.

Worst Supporting Actor. Who should win: Uwe Boll for appearing in "Postal". Who will win: Uwe Boll. Why: Any excuse to give this guy more spray-painted gold is a good excuse. The only good thing about his apperance on-screen was that he died shortly after admitting he hates video games and his movies' budgets are backed by Nazi gold. That explains alot!

Worst Supporting Actress. Who should win: Kim Kardashian for copying Paris Hilton's "career". Leak home made porn video online, check. Have a shallow and stupid "reality" show about your life, check. Get paid to show up at clubs and parties, check. Star in a movie no matter how bad it is and say what a great time you had while making it even though you yawned on screen, check. "Win" a Golden Razzie Award ... working on it. Who will win: Paris Hilton. Why: Once again, it's Paris Hilton.

Worst On-Screen Couple. Who should win: Uwe Boll and any scripts, actors, and cameras he is given to work with. We have at least 7 movies that back this one, and again, whatever excuse we need to give the man more spray-painted gold is good. Who will win: Paris Hilton and either of her co-stars from "Hottie & Nottie". Why: One last time, it's Paris Hilton.

Worst Sequel, Remake or Rip-Off. Who should win: "Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull". Who will win: "I.J.A.T.K.O.T.C.S.". Why: No one except George Lucas waited 20 years to see Shia Lebeouf pulling a Tarzan, fire ants being able to carry off a 300 lb. Russian man, aliens showing up in a fantasy universe that usually has to do with magic, and let's not forget ... NUKING THE FRIDGE.

Worst Screenplay. Who should win: Seltzerberg for "DM"/"MTS"; same lame jokes, still not funny. Who will win: M. Night for "The Happening". Why: I don't know where to begin.

Worst Director. Who should win: either Seltzerberg or Ewe Toilet Bowl. Who will win: Should be a tie between Seltzerberg and Ewe Toilet Bowl. Why: How can you choose a lesser of two evils between these three hacks?!

How the Saw franchise never gets any Razzie nominations is beyond me. They look so horrible, and the reviews progressively get worse as one gets released after the other. Or does Lionsgate paint their movies with a sheen that prevents them from even being Razzie-worthy (i.e. Tyler Perry's Christianity propogandas/soap operas).

RESPONSE from Head RAZZberry: At least 3 of the 5 SAW titles have been listed on our Nominating Ballots over the years, but our voters never seem to "elevate" them into the final five in any category. Given that they've mostly been competing against the HOSTEL franchise in the same catgegories, maybe our members have somehow decided the HOSTEL films are actually worse... 

On the subject of 2009 Forums, several are already posted (BRIDE WARS, HOTEL FOR DOGS, THE UNBORN and UNDERWORLD: RISE OF THE LYCANS) as well as a running LIST of ELIGIBLE 2009 RELEASES... 

I'm thinking this next week's Worst New Movie on DVD is going to be Saw V or Repo: The Genetic Opera (it could even be both).
