Hanks is a 5 time Oscar nominee, and a 2 time winner as Best Actor. Because he's such a great actor, there is no excuse if he gives a  bad performance -- that's why we razz him harder. 
 
Remember in 2010, Sandra Bullock won Worst Actress, then Best Actress the next day? The better of an actor you are, the more you have a target on your back when/if you do something lousy. 

This year though, there just aren't enough spots to consider Hanks, I think.

Exactly. Hanks was bad, but not Razzie-worthy. Although, he was under consideration for THE DAVINCI CODE, and I thought he was actually better in that one!

HeadRAZZ chooses supporting roles if they had enough screentime and star billing, and most of those actresses have that. Here's are some updates to my list (so far): 

6) Sarah Jessica Parker for "I Don't Know How She Does It". As a comedy, this movie is supposed to be funny. That means the actors have to display comic talent. The actors, including Parker, displayed little comic acting. 

I also just remembered that Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's role in Transformers 3 was a supporting one. So she's now on my Worst Supporting Actress list. 

As above, if I watch more sh*t movies, this list might change...

Here's my top five (so far) for the Worst Actress category: 

1) Adam Sandler (as Jill) for "Jack and Jill". Sandler was horrible, as usual. His female twin "performance" was actually worse than his portrayal of the selfish, male twin. 

2) Jennifer Aniston for "Just Go With It". Aniston was just going through the motions for the pay check, which contributed to the poor quality of the movie. 

3) Kristen Stewart for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn". Wooden acting was everywhere to be seen, including Stewart's. 

4) Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for "Transformers: Dark of the Moon". Huntington-Whiteley is not much of an actress!  

5) Jessica Alba for "Spy Kids 4D: All the Time in the World". There has been argument that Alba played a supporting role. I beg to disagree. She had so much screen time that she deserves to be in the Worst lead actress category. Oh, I just remembered, Alba's acting sucks as usual. 

If I watch more sh*t movies, this list might change...

Taylor Schilling was so bad in Atlas Shrugged - in fact, the whole cast was! Bad direction made usually acceptable actors look terrible!!  


RESPONSE from Head RAZZberry: Although we did list Paul Johansson for  ATLAS SHRUGGED: PART 1 in our Worst Director poll (LINK) the fact that he's not getting many votes suggests the film was either not widely seen (or not reviled enough?) by our Voting Members . SUCKER PUNCH did well enough to create a fan base. I don't know how many people even saw Sucker Punch. It did really, really badly at the box office.

You do have a point, since most of the main cast in SUCKER PUNCH were also in other bad movies this year. But it seems the movie just didn't offended the users and/or voters enough.

By the way, most critics praised Hudson's performance in SOMETHING BORROWED.

Thank You! I almost often forget about movies that come out early in the year. I think they release terrible films in January/Feb so that they'll be forgotten by the time Razzie season rolls around.

Everybody was so happy with Kidman's "comeback" in RABBIT HOLE...and she follows it up by being in 2 bad movies with the our 2 Worst Actor front-runners. However, I feel she should have a combined nomination. I don't think either of her performances were panned enough... or at all. Most of the JUST GO WITH IT reviews just said, "What is she doing here?"

Trespass is already a shoo-in for Nicolas Cage, and has about even chances of getting nominated for Joel Schumacher. Why would it need a nomination for Nicole Kidman too?
 


If I may, I'm pretty sure it's because almost nobody remembers JUDY MOODY. And out of those who do, almost nobody knows the actress' name. Meanwhile, Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portmanalso were in other bad movies this year*. And he won the 2010 Razzie and she won the 2010 Oscar, meaning her falling down and him staying where he was makes them razzable.

*Shouldn't she also be up for THE OTHER WOMAN? I know nobody saw it, but it got worse reviews than NO STRINGS ATTACHED, and her performance was as praised as NO STRINGS ATTACHED.

Three questions:

Why would oiram accuse HeadRAZZBerry of wishing Winnie the Pooh could be all over the ballots?

RESPONSE from Head RAZZberry: Let's answer these in order -- #1: I think Oiram was overstating things to make what he considered a point...though I can't for the life of me remember what that point was.  #2: Nicole Kidman, as an above-the-title "name" on TRESPASS should be held equally liable for the Total Bomb-itude that was TRESPASS (the film cost about $35 million and grossed a miniscule $24,000 - MoJo LINK) making it one of the biggest money-losers of 2011. BTW: Kidman is also likely to be listed separately on the Nominating Ballot as Worst Supporting Actress for her role in Adam Sandler's JUST GO WITH IT (Forum LINK).   #3: I am unclear if you are suggesting we should have listed Natalie Portman for NOT SUMMER SUMMER (actually, it was Heather Graham who was in it) or that we forego Portman in favor of someone else who was in BUMMER SUMMER? Please feel free to clarify...
