Final Destination 5 was rotten, but it served it's purpose. Plenty of gore. Probably one of the worst scripts ever written, same for direction. But the violence was hilarious in its implausibility. It was bad, but it accomplished it's mission. As a film it was dreadful, but as a gore-filled popcorn film for die hard fans, it did its thing, with unintentional comedy to boot. 
Of course the 3D was worthless, just like every other 3D film. Def consider it for Worst Eye Gouging Misuse of 3D if they're doing that category this year.

Er, no. The story of A Star is Born is usually Man is successful, Man meets Unknown Woman, Man lets Unknown Woman play lead along with him, Woman becomes popular, Man starts to lose popularity, mainly do to alcohol, Woman tries to save him, Man might die or might not die, Woman either sad or happy respectively.
 
Bucky Larson does not have that plotline. If anything, The Artist rips-off A Star is Born.  


RESPONSE from Head RAZZberry: So you're choosing to ignore the obvious -- that the title BUCKY LARSON: BORN TO BE A STAR is clearly ripped-off from A STAR IS BORN -- and lecture us all on your knowledge of old movie plotz?? Among the elements that BUCKY does take from all previous versions of BORN is the core idea of a small-town innocent heading  out to become a STAR. As far as I'm concerned, the title and that plot device are enough to argue that LARSON is larcenously playing off of STAR IS BORN, and therefor does qualify as either a Remake or a Rip-Off...

I'm really, really missing Red Riding Hood on this list. HeadRazz, I know you've already made a statement about that, but I was reading through the reviews of RRH, 90% compare it to the first Twilight. RRH takes so many elements from that movie that it should be considered a "rip-off", and it's a remake of the Grimm's story anyways.

Just watched Jack and Jill and it's only now that I've regained the strength to make comments on this film (the film was torture to watch). It's painfully unfunny from beginning to end. 

This pile of s**! deserves to get nominated for Worst Picture. Here are the reasons: 

1) Adam Sandler gives his usual bad (and unfunny) performance as the male lead. He deserves a nomination for Worst Actor. 

2) As the "female" lead Sandler also deserves a Worst Actress nomination. His over-acting playing Jill contributed to the torture.
 
3) Nick Swardson is worthy for Worst Supporting Actor nomination for his dull performance in this movie as well as for his irritating acting in 'Just Go With It'. 

4) David Spade (as Monica) deserves Worst Supporting Actress nomination for his appalling attempt as Jill's equally unpleasant enemy. A Worst Supporting Actress nomination should also go to Katie Holmes. Holmes's acting 'ability' makes no contribution to entertainment. 

5) Jack and Jill seems to rip-off other (and better) movies where the male lead is disguised as a woman. So a Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-off or Sequel for this trash makes sense. 

6) Dennis Dugan deserves a Worst Director nod for this $((! as well as for 'Just Go With It'. 

7) Adam Sandler and Steve Koren should also be acknowledged in the Worst Screenplay category. The script was not funny and the biggest contribution to the torture I endured. 

8) A Worst Screen Couple/Ensemble should go to to Adam Sandler for playing a pair of unlikable twins.

Maybe it's just me, but MY idea of a "rip-off" would be something like Glee: The 3D Concert Movie (which thankfully few people shelled out money for what they could see on TV for free), which should be represented in a few categories in the nomination ballot...

I'm okay with Razzing Worst Sequels and Remakes, but is including "Rip-offs" really necessary ? Couldn't EVERY bad/unsatisfactory movie be considered a Rip-off?

Director Robert Rodriguez was obviously more focused on making the movie look good in "4D". Anyone with some form of intelligence will realize that the flick's "fourth dimension", perfume, was just a lame attempt to divert attention from the overall bad quality. 

4) Transformers: Dark of the Moon: 
Michael Bay is at it again. Using action and explosions to hide the movie's weak characters, paper-thin plot and overall bad direction. Shia LaBeouf puts out a lame performance. His lame acting is most obvious when his character, Sam, is supposed to upset. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Megan Fox's replacement, does nothing much apart from displaying her face. As a fan of the animated series this movie is very disappointing. 

5) Green Lantern: 
Dull effort at best. This movie suffers most from under-developed characters. Some humor might have helped this remake. 


I'm fairly positive that Just Go with it is a direct remake of Cactus Flower and not a rip-off (heck the original Screenplay and Play receive credit). Just correcting you on that.

Anyone with some form of intelligence will realize that the flick's "fourth dimension", perfume, was just a lame attempt to divert attention from the overall bad quality. 

4) Transformers: Dark of the Moon: 
Michael Bay is at it again. Using action and explosions to hide the movie's weak characters, paper-thin plot and overall bad direction. Shia LaBeouf puts out a lame performance. His lame acting is most obvious when his character, Sam, is supposed to upset. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Megan Fox's replacement, does nothing much apart from displaying her face. As a fan of the animated series this movie is very disappointing. 

5) Green Lantern: 
Dull effort at best. This movie suffers most from under-developed characters. Some humor might have helped this remake.

Here's my updated list: 

WARNING: POTENTIAL SPOILERS:  

1) The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part I: 
The wooden "acting" makes any amateur, children's theatrical play a work of art. The screenplay sounds like it was written someone so who makes Beavis and Butt-head sound intelligent. The director didn't seem to make an effort (then again with the terrible material I don't blame him for doing a lame effort). This sequel is definitely on top of my list. 

2) Spy Kids 4D: All the Time in the World: 
The lead "actress", Jessica Alba, does her usual performance. This only involves just displaying her pretty face, that's it. At best, the screenplay is boring (that's putting it nicely). Director Robert Rodriguez was obviously more focused on making the movie look good in "4D".
