This movie was very repetitive. 
 
The good: 

Jason Momoa: Momoa is decent as Conan and looks more like the original version than Ah-nuld. 
 
It proves my "faithfulness" point: There's this point that I've been debating with my friends about faithfulness to a movie's source material. The point that I make is that a good adaptation isn't automatically a good movie. 2003's The Hunted is, arguably, a better adaptation of First Blood than the actual First Blood novel, but First Blood's changes were for the better. When judged as adaptations, The Godfather and Jaws are bad, but on their they're two of the best movies ever, mainly because they remove the pointless subplots from the book. To get back to Conan, this movie is arguably a better Conan adaptation than the Ah-nuld one, but the Ah-nuld is just better in every other conceivable way. 
 
The bad: 
 
The special effects: The special effects are crappy here. It's not After Last Season levels, but still pretty bad. 
 
Stephen Lang: Lang is unusually stiff here. On his own, he's bad enough, but compared to James Earl Jones in the original, he comes off even worse. 
 
The script: This is one of the most half-assed scripts in recent memory with terrible dialogue. My favorite bad lign: "Barbarian! I don't like you anymore!" 
 
The ugly: 
 
Rachel Nichols: Nichols, you're back in my cross-hairs again. Shape-up your acting! 

Rose McGowen: McGowen is just bad here. Especially bad was the incestual undertones between her and Stephen Lang's character. 

Marcus Nispel: Dear Nispel, go back to making crappy remakes of horror movies. At least they were fun to watch. 
 
Not much to add here. Grade: C- 
 
Next-up: Spy Kids 4-D!

I just saw it,and gave it 3/10.

F.Y.C.:
-Actor for Jason Momoa: No. It was far from a good performance, but he was a decent action star.
-New Star for Jason Momoa: Sure.
-Actress for Rachel Nichols: Yes. While she was nowhere near as bad as in P2, she wasn't passable like in G.I. JOE. Not to mention I don't have much frontrunners in this category.
-Supp. Actor for Ron Perlman: Yes. His role was smaller than in SEASON OF THE WITCH, but he was more over-the-top*.
-Supp. Actor for Stephen Lang: Yes. His role was bigger than Perlman's, and he was as over-the-top as him.
-Supp. Actress for Rose McGowan: Meh.
-Director: Yes. We get it, Marcus Nispel, you like blood. Seriously, this affected me more than any torture porn movie you can mention.
-Screenplay: Yes. This actually features the most stupid scene of the year, where CONAN fights with warriors made of dust. They represent no threat whatsoever. The audience realizes how fragile they are before CONAN does. The fact that TAMARA kills one of them by accident proofs my point. This also features one of the most stupid dialogue lines of the history of cinema: when CONAN is fighting, his opponent says "Barbarian... I don't like you anymore".
-Ensemble: Yes.
-Couple: Maybe. While Momoa and Nichols have some chemistry, their characters have no reason to be together.
-Remake/Rip-Off: Yes. While it's closer to the original stories, unlike the Ah-Nuld version, it doesn't do much justice to them by being such clearly rushed production.
-Picture: No. But I'd like to point out the main reason why this is mediocre: at the beginning, CONAN's father says he's not ready to be use a sword because he attacks without thinking. Then he grows up to be a sadistic f*ck. Then he meets a girl, they fall in love for no reason, he shows he's willing to sacrifice himself for her, and we have to assume he's ready. Except he had always had a heart (his friend says so), he even almost sacrificed himself to save his father as a boy. At the end, he continues to be a sadistic f*ck who attacks without thinking.

*Mickey Rourke turned down this role to play something more similar to Stephen Lang's role in INMORTALS.Confused

I just finished watching the 1st season.He was alright.Since he won't return for next season,which I didn't know when I wrote that(nor that he was just a guest),he should be careful with how he chooses movies.

Because Hollywood's business pretty much controls that state, the studios and their parent companies have so much power and influence there.  
 
Oh, and Bollywood movies often copy and paste from Hollywood movies -- like entire plots and scenes!

I think it looks awesome personally. Every piece of content I've seen so far, I have liked better than the last. 

And this clip is definitely the best thing they released so far.
If this is what Conan is doing as a kid, I can't f'ing wait to see what goes down when he is grown up. 

Absolutely badass. I will most definitely be seeing Conan come Aug 19.
