Wow, I thought that Red Riding Hood was bad! Hell, I Am Number Four was better! It took a lot effort to not fill this review with f-bombs. If I didn't it would make Killing In The Name look like a Disney song!
 
The good:
 
Ummmm... it's not the worst animated film ever: It's not quite as bad as A Troll In Central Park or some of Video Brinquedo's sh*t, but still. Also, I haven't Doogal or Delgo so, who knows?
 
It's not as bad Season Of The Witch: But just by a hair.
 
And err... the behind-the-scenes story is interesting: It was supposed to come out last year in January, but it got pushed back. Maybe the Weinsteins senses evil from it?
 
The bad:
 
It makes you yearn for Red Riding Hood: At least RRH had the Julie Christie stew.
 
The voice-acting: Good God, has there ever been a voice cast this bad? Other than Benigni's Pinocchio? All the voices are bad and annoying. Also, why was Cheech & Chong in this?
 
"I'm tired of being Number Two! I feel like a big. Steaming. Pile of Number Two!": Whoever wrote that line needs to drink battery acid.
 
The ugly:
 
The charactor-design: This is some of the worst animation I've EVER seen. It makes Sam Singer look like Friz Freleng! OK, it's not as bad as the aforemented Video Brinqeudo or Spark Plug Entertainment's stuff. Sandra Benhard is more attractive than these charactors!
 
Twitch: This guy's annoying. I was hoping that someone would step on him to put the audience out of their misery.
 
The script: I know that animated films that aren't made by Disney usually don't have good scripts, but this is just horrendous! The Achilles Heel of the script is the CONSTANT puns. Did Carrie Bradshaw write this?
 
Well, that's it for now. I'm not sure if the Priest review will be up tonight. My parents are interested in it and Boston's on tonight. Grade: a big F you to Hoodwinked Too!

Gnomeo & Juliet, Mr. Poppers Pemguins, Zookeeper and Hop were all less obnoxious than this movie... Mainly because of the fact that the characters here couldn't talk for longer than 10 seconds with making a bad pun or pop culture remark, The fact that it was filled voices of B-stars and the animation was just to messy for comfort... and don't get me started about the story... very implausible and sometimes you could detect continuaty errors were the makers of the movie weren't even trying to hide them...

I havn't seen Smurfs and Judy Moody yet...

I admit to liking the first one, and this one I'll maybe look on DVD, but it seems to be something that will really ruin my day if I see it in theaters.

I think we may need a 'Worst Animated Feature' category in the near future. And we may only need 3 nominees, since the Oscars (whom we're mirroring) most often nominate 3 films in their equivalent category.

I liked the first Hoodwinked! movie, even though it was an attempt at a Shrek-like cash-cow, it was still decent. But I never wanted a sequel, so...no, Weinsteins. A while back I saw a trailer for OPEN SEASON 3. The first one was, like this, a rare bad animated movie (although I gave it 5/10). The second one was direct-to-DVD. So why is this 3rd one, which uses the premise of THE PRINCE & THE PAUPER, going to theaters?! I didn't mention it because I noticed it was released in the U.S. last year, so bringing it up seemed pointless. But now, with this being another sequel with no reason to exist, I think it is relevant.
