Dear Fellow Golden Raspberry posters,

When you think about Fred Claus, please consider the cinematic contributions this year of one of its writers, Jessie Nelson (I). 

Ms. Nelson, who also works part time as a yoga instructor, has gifted us not only with the enigmatic Fred Claus but also another potential Razzie nominee, Because I Said So. 

Given the quailty of both of these ditties, shouldn't we consider Ms. Nelson for a writing Razzie this year?

I just got back from seeing Fred Clause. This is actually a pretty funny movie, a lot better than I thought it was going to be.

Somewhere up North, the real Santa cannot be very happy about how Tinseltown has been abusing him for the last few years.  If no one else can, maybe HE can knock some sense into their heads...

I can't fathom what Oscar winners like Kevin Spacey, Kathy Bates, and Rachel Weisz (and Oscar nominee Miranda Richardson) are doing in this low rate holiday film. Not for its brilliant script (which it's not) or the terrific thespian talents of Vince Vaughn, once again playing Vince Vaughn.

It's the money! Kim Cattral best summed it up. She was against the Sex and the City movie until her price increased. Can't say I blame her. And she had the balls to come out publicy and admit she's doing it for the cash.

Save your own holiday cash for a worthwhile movie instead of this one. If you take them to see this, your children will hold this film against you!

Vince Vaughn has appeared in quite a few bad films (The Psycho remake, The Break-up, Domestic Disturbance). As much as I like him, so has Paul Giamatti (Lady in the Water, Big Fat Liar, Duets). Ditto John Michael Higgens ( Evan Almighty, The Break-Up, Fun with Dick and Jane.) Even Oscar winner Kathy Bates (Around The World in 80 days, American Outlaws, Failure to launch) has done her share of garbage. But what in the name of all that's good and holy are Miranda Richardson, and Kevin Spacey (Beyond The Sea aside) doing in this?! (I'd mention Rachel Weisz except for the fact that I liked The Fountain, The Mummy Returns, and even Constantine.) Sad part is when I first saw the trailer, I thought the movie looked pretty funny.
