SPOILER ALERT: Godzilla wusses out!

Just saw this. Of all the "Alien" and "Predator" movies, this one's the worst! The main reason I hated it was its vicious sadism: First, a Xenomorph pops out of a little kid. Then, the Predalien finds a room full of babies. They don't show him eating them (thankfully), but it's still tasteless. Then he finds a room full of pregnant women, and I'm not even going to describe that. I will say this; the Predator was pretty cool, and the Xenomorphs are still badass. Unfortunately, the Predalien was just stupid and fake-looking...

I'll tell you what, If I can get myself loaded enough on beer and hard liqour, you could get me to believe that this movie was as good as Ben Hur and 2001, billed as "Double Feature" played side-by-side at a Classic Movie Convention on "The Art of Artistic Expression"!

RESPONSE from Head RAZZberry: I know it may be considered blasphemous in some movie-loving circles, but I've always found BEN-HUR (except for the chariot race sequence) to be One of the Most Boring Movies Ever Made -- and certainly one of the least repeat-watchable Best Picture winners in Oscar® history... 

I'll probably buy the 2-Disc unrated extreme edition for AvP-R, too. I guess if you watch this movie as a forgettable fright flick, it's good...

I really hate this movie...crappy acting, 0 action, the script is atrocious, even the aliens are crappy...

This kind of redundant, pandering CRAP is exactly why we now have  "Worst Excuse for a Horror Movie" as a new Razzie category for 2007.

Even Lance Henriksen, who despite being a good actor, has made some ass-trocious movies, wasn't desperate enough to be in this! 

The original AvP was a graphic novel, and it was a terrific idea actually.  A group of humans colonize a planet that becomes infested with aliens.  Then a bunch of young predators show up.  Apparently, the predators used the planet as a training ground for its children, and they first drop off alien eggs, and then drop off their children and let them hunt, fend for themselves and hone their survival skills.  The humans become caught in the crossfire.

Too bad neither of the inferior movies have ever bothered with the original premise.

thomsonmg2000, that was a stupid statement of yours saying no named actors make a bad movie. Does it mean that there are some people other than usual Hollywood stars we've already seen before? It offers a chance to let no named actors have a chance to act.

Response from Head RAZZberry: Actually, thomsonmg2000 merely suggested that having only actors most people have never heard of (especially when it's a major studio / wide release) in a film's cast sometimes means it'll stink. Guess we'll find out December 25 who's right.

Somehow, though, I'm already anticipating moviewizguy will "like" it, regardless of its actual merits... 

Which tends to suggest that they couldn't find much to put in it, apart from what was deemed necessary. Which could be good or bad, depending on lots of factors. 

It actually looks a little better than their last outing. It is rated R, which many people complained should've been the rating of the first movie (and that Paul Anderson ruined the franchise). But I'm surprised that the movie is only 86 minutes long.
