Funny in his personal actions, sure. I remember him challenging someone to a boxing match because that person gave one of his films a bad review. And then when Uwe won the match, he proclaimed that it was PROOF that his movies were great.

As far as his movies go, there is nothing funny about those. But at least he hasn't sunk so low as to cast Larry the Cable Guy!

Now that is an artful return to the topic at hand if I ever saw one!

So, are you saying that Boll is deriving pleasure from torturing the filmgoing audiences? It makes a sick sort of sense...

True. As bad as "Plan 9" is, you can't help but laugh at it. Uwe Boll's movies, however, make you want to take a drill bit to the temple, as you realize some studio actually paid him money (more than once) to make the crap that he makes.

Just a hunch here, but I'm thinking that we'll "have movies to Razz for years to come" if we never invest a stinking nickel in the industry.

I mean on one hand, financing our future recipients would be fueling the downfall of the movie industry, and that would be bad...

On the other hand, we'd be guaranteed to have movies to Razz for years to come...

Uwe's newest scheme is selling "shares" in his film to "non-professionals" at 33 Euros (about $44/US) a pop, in exchange for a share in the "profits," an invitation to the film's "premiere" and a "free" DVD of the movie. At last report, at least 165 Euros had been raised...

Sweet... for a mere 44 dollars, I can be part of a potential Razzie winner? Could I actually vote for it then, if it was nominated for Worst Picture? Seems like a conflict of interest, though...
