Her Next film "The Heat" actually looks pretty good. Kind of a female version of "21 Jump Street". I can be totally wrong about this movie and I am open to being wrong. But at the same time, Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock seem like the "Dream Team" of Comedy. Here's the thing: After many high concept movies in the '80s that involved something fantastic happening to the main character just so he/she could learn a life lesson, GROUNDHOG DAY made it popular again. Then LIAR LIAR started a new trend where the main character had to be a workaholic dad. Since then, there have been many movies like that. So... No, 1000 WORDS isn't really a rip-off, since this has practically become a sub-genre.

The R.T. rating has started off at 30%, which I believe is the same one the 2nd installment received.

Lady Gaga is great, but that kind of title is reserved for peoplpe with long careers. At least longer than 5 years. Besides, if that title could be passed on, Michael Jackson wouldn't be called The King of Pop anymore. I personally have no idea what the thought process was behind why they delayed the release of 1000 Words.
