Well, counting Cage's Worst Screen Couple nods, Cage currently has a "career total" of 5 Razzie nominations, and Reeves has 6.  So Cage could tie things up this year!
 
Look at them -- Both of them should be setting Oscar records, not Razzie records.  UGH!

Nicolas Cage is someone we need to make up our minds about.  He's not like Carmen Elektra or Paris Hilton who are guaranteed to win whatever category they're nominated for (unless Elektra goes up against Hilton, in which case Hilton always "wins").  I mean, Cage starred in the remake of Wicker Man, and as laughably bad as that movie was, he got off scot free because there was always something worse.  So, until he stars in something so wretched we're going to serve him Golden Raspberry flambé, we might as well halp him go for getting the record for the most Razzie nominations without ever being diss-honored with a "win".
 
BTW, who holds that record?

I completely agree. I also like the wicked sense of humor of the Ghost Rider, his little laughs and his fun while causing damage were the best thing about the movie.
I also kinda liked Idris Elba, but he was unchallenged in his role.
However, I didn't like the story at all. And it bugged me that while he was burning hot, the women had no problems to hug him. Worst Actor nod for Nic Cage, WS for David S. Goyer and worst Sequel.

It should get a Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-off, or Sequel nod and, unless something else really bad comes along, Nicolas Cage should win Worst Actor. There was a hard rock band from the '60's called The Yardbirds. One of their guitarists was named Jeff Beck. They were on Rolling Stone Magazine's 100 Greatest Artists list.* Their song Over Under Sideways Down was featured in the movie Observe & Report in the scene where Ronnie got high for the first time.

No offense HeadRAZZberry, but maybe the reason Cage chose to do this role was because he figured it could give him a  better opening weekend than any he's had lately (not to mention the fact he's broke, so he's doing anything to get money). Even if it doesn't do great business, he was probably well paid.

No argument, but Penn doesn't exactly have a lot of room to criticize anyone else. He may not be equally guilty of making pandering, big budget movies, but his sin is going after roles that are blatant "Oscar baiters." One example, him portraying Harvey Milk. It's not that he gave a bad performance, but he was getting Oscar buzz months before the film was released. Frankly, that was a case of the role, not the actor, getting the nomination. Peewee Herman probably could have received an Oscar nomination for that role. And Penn's filmography is filled with similar roles.
