That's what I mean, the shots and angles are the director of photography's choices, and the director-director simply okays the choices made. Yeah, that's cinematography. If everything looks good on screen, that's the director of photography's doing. My review:

THIS MOVIE'S QUALITY WILL "SILENCE" YOU UNTIL YOU'RE "DEAD"(**/*****)

Spoilers ahead!

It's hard not to compare it to the SAW movies, also created by James Wan and Leigh Wannell. Those movies are more gory than scary, but their scripts are very smart(mostly the first 3, which Wannell wrote). This movie it's the other way around. The directing is very good when it comes to angles,shots and creating suspense. Unfortunately,the script is bad.

Aside from the fact evil puppets isn't new,the story how MARY SHAW died is too similar to how FREDDY KRUGER died.

After most of the mystery is revealed,the movie drags on for about 30 minutes only for us to discover the rest of the mystery,which is boring. Whannell's twist ending(which seems to be a trade mark)was creative,but not shocking because at that point it's hard to still be interested in the movie.

Ok. Seen it and didn't like it. Boring movie and the only good part is the surprise ending. I think Anthony Hopkins, Ann-Margret (my love), the late Burgess Merideth, and anyone else for that matter would be furious to find out that they took a good movie like "Magic" and turned it into a great, big pile of dog s**t!!!!!!!!!!

So it could be Worst Rip Off of Magic, Puppetmaster, Child's Play and the Goosebumps books...

I had found ad for Dead Silnce where it says here Billy Talk which by the way is The Puppet name does he sound evil yet any ways you can make him talk by typing in a Question, and he will repeat it what funny about this ad is when speaks he sounds like he inviting you to have with Tea & Crumpits in The Polor Room I thought to myself at least Chucky had Evil Laugh when Killed you maybe the only thing from this puppet is boring to death with old stories or some thing.

I don't think this should be nominated for a Razzie. The worst I've heard about this movie was that it was stupid, except for the ending. Many people said it was scary, but that it wasn't that bad...
