Subject: Our Take on HOODWINKED, TOO

WHEN the FIRST HOODWINKED MOVIE WAS RELEASED, IT WAS GREETED with REVIEWS LIKE "SIMPLY NOT WORTH the EFFORT or EXPENSE of a FAMILY NIGHT OUT at the MOVIES..." 

SO, BY the COCKEYED/LAZY STANDARDS of MODERN HOLLYWOOD,  OF COURSE a SEQUEL WAS CALLED FOR. MORE THAN FIVE YEARS LATER, HERE IT IS. 

AND THIS TIME, the REVIEWS ARE EVEN WORSE: HOODWINKED TOO: HOOD vs. EVIL IS the FIRST FILM EVER to GET a ZERO-OUT-of-a-HUNDRED REVIEW at META-CRITIC.  

WHICH ONCE AGAIN RAISES the QUESTION THAT COMES UP ALL TOO OFTEN REGARDING 2011 MOVIES: WHY DID THEY EVEN BOTHER???  

WE CAN'T IMAGINE WHO ANYONE THOUGHT the AUDIENCE for THIS WAS SUPPOSED to BE, NOR HOW THEY EVEN GOT PAST the PITCH STAGE WITH SOMETHING THIS OBVIOUSLY DOOMED to FAILURE.  

AT a CERTAIN POINT, WE ARE TEMPTED to JUST GIVE UP and SCREAM "ENOUGH ALREADY!" 

BUT IF HOLLYWOOD REALLY DID STOP MAKING TOTAL CRAP LIKE THIS, the RAZZIES® WOULD HAVE NO REASON to EXIST. AND ALTHOUGH THAT WOULD SPARE US EVEN HAVING to DISCUSS THIS KIND of DIS-HEARTENING DRIVEL, MAYBE WE SHOULD TRY HARDER to BE GRATEFUL IT DOES EXIST??  

YEAH, RIGHT!
