It was the only "good" scene in the whole ... trailer. 

I've seen this film and thought that it was pretty dumb as well. However, the scene I liked was where Cam's (Jessica Alba) skirt got caught in the car door and ripped off leaving her in her underwear.

Honestly, I thought that was the best scene overall.

I agree with your description of the end credits.  After a terrible second half, the ending was (finally) okay, and then the movie sank into the depths of the celluloid septic tank with the scene showed over the end credits.  My brain hurts just thinking about it!

I think Good Luck Chuck needs urgently to be nominated for Worst Picture in the 27th annual Razzies, along with I Know Who Killed Me.

To be honest I laughed at some parts of Chuck, but it was lame, cliched to the upmost, bad editing, bad timing, it looked reshot and I honestly have seen 50,000 different posters and logos, which always tells me there is some disaster and not even the ones doing it BELIEVE IN IT!

Horrible film!

The best friend of Dane Cook was the most horrible performance that really comes to mind, but this is definitely a Worst Picture contender!

Ok, Avoid Any Movie with CHUCK (as in "Barf") in Its Title...Well, Head RAZZ, that was difficult for audiences earlier in the year when I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU CHUCK AND LARRY came out. But the difference is that audiences would apparently rather go see a comedy with Adam Sandler in it.

Response from Head RAZZberry: The "CHUCK" referrence was meant for both this film and CHUCK & LARRY, two of the year's least funny "comedies"...

I don't understand what the movie critics are complaining about.  Good Luck Chuck was funny.  The first part was not kiddie porn, well, unless one is a worried parent, then I can understand why this scene would bother you.  It plays off one of many parents' nightmares, I'm sure.  The gross parts, including the Hollywood Squares-style parade of unsatisfying (for Chuck), funny (for us) and sometimes weird (for everyone) one night stands (ah-ah-ah, I saw at least one repeat in that sequence)--I stopped counting the times I laughed past two dozen, and the rest of the audience laughed even more.  It was a terrific, sophomoric, slapstick, gross-out movie with a sensitive protagonist.

For the first hour.

And this is where I feel the reviews I've read went wrong.  The reviews should have pointed out how funny and fun this movie was until Chuck decided to go overboard in an effort to keep Cam.  And then become a stalker.  And then withdraw.  I stopped laughing, and the audience around me didn't even laugh a quarter as much.  The last hour of the movie was not only not funny, it was uninspired.  Well, not completely.  The last two minutes of the movie was beautiful (I'm talking about the ending, not pretending-to-be-gross footage over the end credits, of course), and choosing Jodelle Ferland of Silent Hill to play the daughter of the now grown-up witch (it wasn't Goth, peoples) put a smile on my face.  But those moments were few and far between.  The last half of the movie sucked, which makes the first half of the movie wasted, which left me wondering, what happened?

It felt almost like the true genius of the screenplay up and left halfway through the rewrite, and left the second half plain, bare-boned and deflated.  If that or anything like it was what happened to this movie, a movie with a great premise that should have been wonderfully funny all the way through (gross or otherwise), that's a shame.

So, they took a great premise, produced half a funny movie, and then winged the rest.  I left broken-hearted.

I would have given it a 7 out of 10 if it had kept it up all the way through.  Because it pooped out halfway through, it doesn't even get half.  3 out of 10, and it's certainly in Razzie contention for the year.

Dane Cook and all the women he laid for Worst Screen Couple (or even better, Dane Cook and his penguin suit -- which Nicholas Cage would have looked good in!).  Dane Cook for Worst Actor.  Jessica Alba for Worst Actress (although honestly, she gave a far better performance in this movie than she did in either of the Fantastic Four movies).  Dan Fogler, Worst Supporting actor, and Lonnie Ross, too, as Cam's brother.  Mark Helfrich as Worst Director, and Josh Stolberg and Steve Glenn for Worst Screenplay.  I see Glenn wrote the short story on which this movie was based.  It would be interesting to see where the story stopped and the movie continued.  And, let's not forget, Good Luck Chuck for Worst Picture! 

I saw this one Saturday, and to call it a dismal mess would qualify as one of the kinder compliments it has received. Rated "R" (with "NC-17" pretentions) the nearly uninterrupted parade of bare female breasts was the closest feature of the film that could be deemed a quality. Alba and Cook looked like they were reading their lines off cue cards, and there was no onscreen chemistry. The flock of penguins featured in a couple of scenes was more interesting than any of the characters.

Daddy Day Camp may have a race on its hands!

Jessica Alba in a GOOD movie?  Are you kidding??  If it weren't for Mizz Simpson, Alba would "win" the title as the dopiest Jessica in the movies right now!

Yeah!  It's in for consideration! 

Now to go see how the filmmakers ruined this good premise.
