I guess this proves that having two major acting stars in your movie is not enough, you also need a great script and a great director, and this movie had neither.

Crushingly disappointing--worse than waiting through 3/4ths of Heat only to watch the two of them have a short, dull conversation in a coffee shop. 

If there's a category for Most Predictable Plot of the year, this is it.  If you haven't figured out the big ending plot twist within the first 15 minutes you don't watch enough movies. 

DeNiro is surprisingly pretty good, considering the dirth of material he has to work with.  The real crime here is Pacino who, although he doesn't have much of a character or a whole lot of dialogue to work with, phones in his entire performance AGAIN and seems to be working much of the time with a noticeable hangover.  I don't think he's put any effort at all into ANY performance since Devil's Advocate or Any Given Sunday.

DeNiro's performance should save this movie from any real Razzie contention, especially considering how bad 88 Minutes was.  Save your Razzies for that bit of schlock and hope that Al doesn't devolve into his own Hell of "Analyze..." and "Meet the..."type movies.

...And it probably didn't help that the posters for this film (see below) featured both DeNiro and Pacino looking old, bloated and oddly kinda "pickled"...
