I personally have no idea what the thought provess was behind why they waited. There's already a concensus on FAST & FURIOUS 6: it's as good as the previous one. 1000 WORDS is dated. It was released 4 years after it was filmed, and has pop culture references from 2008 that had no relevance in 2012 That's why we always trash filmmakers like Seltzer-Berg, who rely on that.

Madonna was the Queen of Pop. And she has been for a long, long time. So, I guess, she could do whatever she wanted to.
