With less-than-special "special effects," a RAZZIE® worthy screenplay and a bloated $80 million budget, this could be the BATTLEFIELD EARTH of 2005.  But enough about OUR opinion, it's your turn to let us know what YOU think...

One critic compared it to PLAN 9 -- I gotta see this one!

Man, big budget, critics crucifying it, long delay in production and the original production company went bankrupt during the post-production!

Does anybody else smell Raspberries in the air?

P.S. When even Renny Harlin leaves the production, you know that something must be wrong!!!

Wooden acting! Cheesy CGI effects! Terrible sound editing! Ben Kingsley wearing the worst white wig in a sci fi movie since THIS ISLAND EARTH!

A SOUND OF THUNDER has it all. This one has GOT to get a lot of Razzie consideration!

Why'd they make this into a movie in the first place? Didn't Ray Bradbury have a T.V. show that adapted his short stories into film anyway?

Ben Kingsley is also in Uwe Boll's latest. Does he need to make house payments or something?

(Sigh) The man who once played GANDHI is now a vampire in a Uwe Boll movie. Does anyone else feel like this is a cruel prank? What next, Jessica Lange playing a gorilla in a Michael Bay movie?

I think that somewhere, someone has some really embarrassing pictures of Ben Kingsley that are being held over his head. And the more I think about it, the more convinced I am that that wig WAS the one in THIS ISLAND EARTH!

Just to give you some idea of how "well" this film is doing: As of Tuesday morning September 6 (following its Friday theatrical debut) my local multiplex has already DROPPED its 1:45 pm matinee showing, and is now offering only THREE performances daily, one of them a discount matinee at 4:20pm. Since even I, as Head RAZZberry, am unwilling to pay Full Price for this Pile of Dino-Dung, I plan to be there at 4:15 -- With Berries On!

This is even sadder than Bela Lugosi's fall from grace (So I've heard, I'm only 18). At least Lugosi had drugs to blame ( And there was no one there to RAZZ him, thankfully for him). Are there any actors left who have spotless resumes?

Opening Weekend Box Office (from B.O. MoJo): $1,190,791, over the four-day Labor Day Weekend, ranking THUNDER at #17 on the B.O. Chart and meaning it only has $78,809,209 to go before recouping its $80 million production budget. Think it'll make it??

GO, Baboon-osaurs, GO!
