It seems likely that I'll be able to finagle free passes from work, if need be. That's probably the only way I'd see this in the theaters.

Free passes are the way to go. I get mine because of the number of movies I see, or for fixing people's computers (They pay me in movie theater gift cards). I think people are begining to catch on that I might be obsessed with movies (But not at all obsessed with "Obsessed")

Also I propose an alternate title to this thread "Angelzzzz & Demonzzzz" See, since the "zzzz" denotes sleeping and what not... cause seriously, that's what I wanted to do for most of the movie... and I swear to you, everytime I started to nod off, Tom Hanks shone a bright flashlight right in my eyes...

Well that's just disappointing. It'd be nice if you could count on what many consider to be a good book (I have no idea, myself. I haven't read anything since I read the Lord of the Rings in Spanish about 5 years ago.) to do some justice in movie form. That, or maybe it convinces people to stop making adaptations. I'm happy either way.

Some adaptations have been really good. A couple of them have even gone so far as to earn Oscars and whatnot... But thi smovie is just preposterous, and dull...

Hopefully this week's releases will not be as disappointing.

I don't feel too encouraged this week. I want to see Terminator because I'm a big Terminator fan, and while there's probably been 1 too many movies at this point (I didn't DISlike 3, but it seemed unnecessary), there's room for 1 more. Now, the fact that they're working on T5 already worries me a bit...

I think T3 should be disregarded... especially since one of the stars (at least) went on to star in a Uwe Boll masterpiece...

What bothered me about 3 was that 2 was kind of about "there's no such thing as fate, you can change the future, blah, blah, blah" but then 3 was like, "Ok, give up. It's more interesting if the world blows up.

3 just didn't seem anywhere near as fun as number 2... But then again the new terminator in 3 seemed like basically a hotter re-package of the terminator from 2....

And sometimes, you just have to let the world blow up....

Two Uwe Boll masterpieces, actually. "BloodRayne" AND "In The Name Of The King". From what I have seen and heard of "T4", they are trying to make it a serious drama about human nature in robots and blah, blah, blah. That and they plug classic one-liners like "Come with me if you want to live" and "I'll be back" (I'm not kidding, I saw a preview On HBO, they do say those lines).

I keep trying to pretend that "In The Name of The King" doesn't exist... and I will continue to do so.

They used "Come with me if you want to live" in Sarah Connor Chronicles.
I'm still tempted to see ITNotK.

Uwe Boll should not be allowed to create 3 hour long "epics" it's just a perversion of nature.

And I think the usher said "Come with me if you want to live" when I went to see House of the Dead.... Why didn't I listen to her?

Seriously, it still blows my mind that HotD was in a theater anywhere. There was that Asian chick in a bikini or whatever, right? In the middle of the woods? I'm not imagining that again, right?

Yeah, Asian Bikini Chick did exist.... As did the horrible crappiness of teh film itself... Everytime I think of it, I can feel a piece of my soul die.

When your soul dies, did it go into a black room with a spotlight where it spinned around for awhile before fading into black?

No, it went to a place where there was a white horse... and the horse was pretty insistent about being ridden... I told the horse I'd rather walk, and... he didn't much care for that answer.
