Saw the trailer for this. Trust me: this movie is gonna
blow! It won't be, to use rap speak, THE sh*t. It will
just be sh*t. For years Sharon Stone avoided
making a sequel, struggling to be taken seriously as
an actress. Finally, she gave in to the big paycheck
and the lack of other offers. Big mistake, Shaz! She
looks haggard in the trailer and seems to be doing a
parody of the character.

BASIC INSTINCT 2 will
dominate next year's Razzies!

Don´t be so cruel. Give her a chance, she´s a serious actress and has won prizes, like a Golden Globe.

Reply to "J" Above: Yes...but, lest we forget, Pia Zadora has also "won" a Golden Globe, so how "serious" a prize can it be???

You can go here to see the trailer for BASIC INSTINCT 2 by clicking this: http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/basicinstinct2/

Plus, here's a Japanese poster for the movie:

The Mormons were'nt really popular in the beginning, they're now becoming more popular, even in Hollywood.

Does a serious actress appear in Catwoman to hone her acting skills or her bank account?

Even though I did disagree with Pia Zadora's "Worst Newcomer" Razzie (forgot which year...but I know she won it) because she was among the "stars" in Santa Claus Conquers the Martians...I think this could have been one of the first retroactive Razzies ever given...

Wrong, she was nominated in 1996 but did not win. Susan Sarandon won a well deserved best actresses that year.

Just because an actor wins an Oscar doesn't mean she won't win a Razzie. Example: Halle Berry

It should be acknowledged that the Hollywood Foriegn Press association is absolutely famous for making bizzare and otherwise undeserving choices when handing out their awards. They even named their equivalent of the "Lifetime Achievement Award" after Cecil B. DeMille. How can anyone take them seriously...but here are a few other reasons to ignore the Globs...

1997 Best Picture, Drama: The English Patient (painfully dull, painfully British, which is why it won)

1999: Best Actor, Drama(?!): Jim Carrey for The Truman Show

2002: Best Picture, Comedy or Musical: Moulin Rouge ()

2003: Best Picture, Drama: The Hours (nominated for the Oscar, finished about 5th, has since disappeared entirely from the public conscious and what few copies remain gather dust on the shelves of Blockbuster.)

Nine times out of ten, in art as in life, there is no truth to be discovered, only an error to be exposed.--H.L. Menken

It's a shame because it's one of the best movies of the decade. It was certainly a better film than Chicago or Lord of the Rings: Two Towers.

I think people will remember The Hours as "that movie where Nicole Kidman wears a funny nose" and won the Oscar. Also I think Julian Moore's performance in Hours was better than her performance in Far From Heaven.

Sharon Stone is a fine actress, and Basic Instinct was a good movie.  The movie had suspense and tension, good acting and tight editing.  It also had Sharon Stone spreading her legs, which sold a lot of popcorn!

But...will the sequel be any good?  Hard to say.   For what it's worth, they repeated a scene twice in the trailer.   Does this mean the creative juices have dried up?

I bring your attention to the true story of the two FBI agents who both fell for the same female, a Chinese spy at Los Alamos.  Now why doesn't Hollywood make a movie based on that true story?  One guy was married with kids, the other was divorced.  Both thought they were "in love", both thought they were the "only one", and both thought they wouldn't get into trouble.   Boy, were they both wrong!

"We aren't in Kansas anymore Toto... Toto??"

Whenever I hear someone say "I'm in love" it usually means "I'm having the best sex I've ever had". Yeah, I'm sure you think you're in love. What happens when you're both 60 years old? are you really gonna be sexually attracted to a 60 year old woman? Do have any idea what a 60 year old woman looks like naked?

I feel bad for those two agents...

Both films were guilded turds. Awful movies that should have gotten razzies because they were unwatchable. Well made but wince inducing.

The Hours and Far From Heaven were the most overrated films of the decade. The latter was nothing but art direction. Bad script and bad direction. The hours was boring as hell.

Oh, come on Basic Instinct 2 will rock, I would stand in line at the theater for days just to see it...NOT! My opinion: Sharon Stone cannot act at all. She will get my vote for worst actress of the year.
