Everyone seems to be arguing on this Forum that PREDATORS is actually a good movie (or at the berry least not a likely RAZZIE® Contender). How then do they explain that on its opening weekend, its grosses dropped over 35% from Friday to Sunday??

Here's a B.O. MoJo LINK to check its day-to-day figures, and confirm that claim...

Its called stiff competition genius, Look at what happens pretty much every time a action movie goes up against a family friendly one. 9 times out of 10 the family movie will dominate even if the family movie is bad. Now in this case Despicable Me turned out to be good, so Predators stood no chance. Then you got the fledgling, but still powerhouse Twilight eating up a chunk of the movie going audience. The third problem was the still popular Toy Story 3, it's been out for about 4 weeks now, and it is still raking in solid numbers (Over 350 million to date) Add in the fact that it was playing at 1000, or in some cases 2000 less theaters than anyone else in the top 5.

I must ask what are you implying here?

And Mayhem's point is why I'm worried about "Inception" being smacked down by a certain family friendly movie starring one Nick Cage. The competition is fierce and it looks like all the movies are suffering because of it. Well, the ones without 3-D surcharges are.

Oh, and Mayhem, I think HeadRazz is implying that the movie sucks ... in his humble opinion.
The Four Horsemen of the Moviepocalypse: uncalled for sequels/remakes/reboots, 3-D surcharges, untalented "celebrities", and anything with Michael Bay's name attached to it.
