OKAY, AS a TRAILER-MAKER MYSELF, I OUGHTTA BE ABLE to SPOT WHEN the CAMPAIGN for a MOVIE IS PRESENTING a TURKEY AS THOUGH IT's a PEACOCK. BUT AT LEAST ONCE EVERY YEAR, SOMEONE PULLS the PROVERBIAL WOOL OVER MY EYES and MARKETS a MONGREL DOG LIKE IT's a CONTENDER for "BEST-in-SHOW."  

THIS YEAR's SURPRISE BOWSER IS APPARENTLY YOU AGAIN, FEATURING an ARGUABLY STELLAR CAST in WHAT CRITICS ARE CALLING a PAINT-by-NUMBERS HYBRID of a CHICK-FLICK and a ROM/COM. IT's ACTUALLY GETTING WORSE NUMBERS at META-CRITIC (LINK) THAN TRANNIES, TOO GOT LAST YEAR (2nd LINK)...

FORTUNATELY for the FILM's MAKERS, THEY CAST COMIC STALWART BETTY WHITE JUST BEFORE SHE BECAME the HOTTEST THING SINCE DUSTY MUFFINS, and THEY'VE BEEN ABLE to LEAN HEAVILY on HER in THEIR SCRAMBLE to UNLOAD the FILM. 

CHALK UP ANOTHER POINT for HOLLYWOOD's MARKETING GENIUSES...and ANOTHER BERRY-FLAVORED BROWNIE POINT to VARIOUS FORUM MEMBERS, WHO CLAMORED for a FORUM on THIS TITLE EVEN BEFORE ITS WRETCHED REVIEWS CAUGHT MY JAUNDICED EYE...




BETTY WHITE: "When I put these seashells over my ears, 
it almost drowns out the awful dialogue of all my co-stars..."

People don't realize that Betty White's "Potty mouth old lady" act had to get tired eventually. 

I don't know why, but I always assumed that if Jamie Lee Curtis and Sigourney Weaver were to star together in a movie,they'd play sisters...

Speaking of this movie being described as a 'hybrid of a Rom-Com and a chick flick', what would be the normal stereotype of the average female movie-goer be?
You see in this filmmaking world there's two types of people my friend. Those with the knowledge of film and those who think they do but really don't.

I wouldn't know the stereotypes of movie-goers, but I do know that this may be the worst movie of the month, probably worse than Resident Evil: Afterlife.

Three months ago, Columbia Pictures released a film about grown men acting immature.  Now, Touchstone Pictures comes out with a film about grown women acting immature.  Even though this one is more family-friendly than the other, it still looks pretty stupid.

There's one big difference between Grown Ups and You Again.  With Grown Ups, you just look at the cast, and you know what you're getting yourself into.  With You Again, you look at the cast and expect something as funny as the trailer.  Hoodwinking the audience is not a good idea, especially in the age of text messaging and Twitter.

Wow, Betty White sure is milking her newly re-found fame for all it's worth. The movie also stars Kristen Bell. With "Couple's Retreat" and "When In Rome" already soiling her resume, will this be her third strike in a row?
The Four Horsemen of the Moviepocalypse: uncalled for sequels/remakes/reboots, 3-D surcharges, untalented "celebrities", and anything with Michael Bay's name attached to it.

Bell has a shot at a double Worst Actress nod. Both When in Rome and You Again currently have > 20% at RT and > 30 at Metacritic.

Well, the Razzies usually combine the movies that said actor and actress starred in that year. So instead of Kristen Bell for Worst Actress for "When In Rome" and then Worst Actress for "You Again", it would just be Bell for Worst Actress for "When In Rome" AND "You Again".
