ADD TWO LEGENDARY ACTORS...

ONE DIRECTOR WHO MAY HAVE ALREADY EARNED ONE of THOSE LEGENDS a 2008 WORST ACTOR NOMINATION for 88 MINUTES...

AND a SCRIPT FEATURING a PLOT TWIST STEVIE WONDER COULD SEE COMING...

AND YOU'VE GOT the MAKINGS of ONE BIG-TIME, RAZZ-BERRY-SCENTED DISAPPOINTMENT.

MAYBE the FACT THAT THEY ONLY SCREENED IT for the PRESS at the LAST MINUTE SHOULD'VE BEEN a CLUE??

BELOW IS WHERE YOU GET to MAKE a RIGHTEOUS KILL of YOUR OWN...

DeNIRO: "Whew! Who knew a dead guy's farts could smell so bad??"

PACINO: "Actually, that's the scent of my performances in this and 88 MINUTES..."

DeNIRO: "Ever think of bottlin' it an' sellin' it as RAZZ-berries, by Calvin Klein???"

In the previews, the two "legendary" actors were really trying to prove that they still "have it."

I thought The Trailer was pretty good -- I guess they put the best parts, and left out the bad stuff...

Looks like the people who financed this film thought the mere stunt casting of re-teaming Pacino and DeNiro would guarantee good reviews and strong box office. But they seem to have forgotten that a good script and a competent director are also important...

Remember when we thought these guys were cool?

Watching them lately has been like finding out Santa Claus is a child molester...

You wouldn't think a movie with DeNiro and Pacino together for the entire length of the movie would get bad reviews, but considering their careers have been reduced to DeNiro mumbling in every role and Pacino yelling in every scene, you then kinda understand why it would.

...And it probably didn't help that the posters for this film (see below) featured both DeNiro and Pacino looking old, bloated and oddly kinda "pickled"...

Who's bright idea was it to give a no-name director two of acting's greatest talents? At least Michael Mann and Francis Coppola knew what they were doing.

Crushingly disappointing--worse than waiting through 3/4ths of Heat only to watch the two of them have a short, dull conversation in a coffee shop.

If there's a category for Most Predictable Plot of the year, this is it.  If you haven't figured out the big ending plot twist within the first 15 minutes you don't watch enough movies.

DeNiro is surprisingly pretty good, considering the dirth of material he has to work with.  The real crime here is Pacino who, although he doesn't have much of a character or a whole lot of dialogue to work with, phones in his entire performance AGAIN and seems to be working much of the time with a noticeable hangover.  I don't think he's put any effort at all into ANY performance since Devil's Advocate or Any Given Sunday.

DeNiro's performance should save this movie from any real Razzie contention, especially considering how bad 88 Minutes was.  Save your Razzies for that bit of schlock and hope that Al doesn't devolve into his own Hell of "Analyze..." and "Meet the..."type movies.

I guess this proves that having two major acting stars in your movie is not enough, you also need a great script and a great director, and this movie had neither.
