They didn't fall for Superhero Movie.  From Wikipedia:

Date and Epic Movie and Meet the Spartans debuted higher and performed better (though they dropped off shortly afterwards).

If Disaster Movie performs well, it means that we have a bunch of morons loyal to Aaron and Jason (Superhero Movie had Scary Movie people in it but not those dir eck! tors).  If it does poorly, then it likely means that the audiences have had enough of these stoopid spoofs and are ready to use them as human shields in Iraq.

I also noticed that many of the movies being spoofed are themselves crap!

Armageddon (I personally liked this movie, but it did get Razzie nods)
Poseidon (which received a Worst Remake nod, poor box office $)
Speed Racer ("Skittle barfling" colors, box office bomb, based off corny Japanese show)
You Don't Mess with the Zohan (with Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider)
The Love Guru (Mike Myers worse than Sandler's Zohan, but still not on forums)
The Happening (M. Night Shymalan's latest turd)
Never Back Down (a ripoff of fight movies like Karate Kid)

Words fail me. This might actually be worse than "Batman & Robin"! If that, god forbid, happens then I'm changing my Razzie Forum name to "SeltzerbergSlasher."

Here's the Wikepedia page for Disaster Movie, with a list of all the movie "parodies" from this pile elephant  And, from the looks of this (and the fact that Tiffany "New York" Pollard is in it) SeltzerTurd may make Joel Schuer look like Stanley Kubrick!

 

I'm confused: Based on the title, is this movie a parody of movies that tank and bomb..or is the title just warning people in advance not to see it?

I don't get why Sarah Jessica Parker is portrayed by a man in the trailer. Sure, she is butting-ugly, but I'd never mistake for a man. She has a nice body. Why not make her look like the Wicked Witch Of The West.

I'm right there with MIchaels; I think it's time they stopped making these
spoof movies, they had a good run with the Scary Movie series, but I haven't
seen a movie after them that has actually been funny.

Scary Movie series still has some potential, as long as they limit their spoof target and don't go too overboard with pop culture. Also, it wouldn't hurt to throw in some gratuitous blood and gore, being how many scary movies are incredibly violent.

Seltzerberg's series, however, is in a vegetative state. No way the series can recover from such crappiness.

And another reason to get angry at Disaster Movie: The late Heath Ledger, according to IMDB, is supposedly gonna get spoofed!
