I'm almost afraid to admit it, but it does somewhat. With the OSCARs, they have 2-4 times as many categories, and there are 4 other award ceremonies (The BAFTA awards, the Critic's Choice awards, the Satellite awards, and even the Golden Globe awards just because they're not THAT unreliable considering how well-known they are) I take recommendations for good movies by comparing the nominated movies with Rotten T and Metacritic. That's why it doesn't bother me with the OSCARs. With the RAZZIES, however, we're the only one that gives penalties to bad movies, and we only have about 9 categories, which works out to 45 total nominations, and an annual average and 9 winners. I like how in the 2008 ceremonies, the nominations were spread out amongst upwards of 24 films, and the winners were spread out horizontally amongst The Love Guru, the 3 Uwe Boll films, the 2 Paris Hilton films, etc. as opposed to being swept into a vertical stack. With so little room for RAZZing, I prefer a good variety. And in case it was never clear before, I think the nominations are at least as important as the winners, and that, just because a film "wins" the RAZZIE usually means it's worse, but it hardly ever means it's very much so.

Please, HeadRazz, I beg of you, give more consideration to Zack Snyder and Paul W.S. Anderson. Why are they getting pass ups?

Elizabeth Hartman and Judith Barsi are much more talented and beautiful than Scarlett Johansson and Chloe Grace Moretz. Fact.

Here's my thoughts for the Worst Director category:

Should win: Dennis Dugan for both 'Jack and Jill' and 'Just Go With It'. Both movies are vile pieces of garbage. When both "efforts" are combined it makes him most worthy of the award.

Will win: It's an open field at the moment. There has been so much trash that has come out this year that the best anyone can do is speculate on who'll get nominated. Here's the likely contenders for Worst Director:

Michael Bay, Transformers: Dark of the Moon. The song "Pearl Harbor Sucked" asked a good question: Why does Michael Bay get to keep on making movies?

Tom Six, The Human Centipede II. Many will take a long time to get over the shock of this film.

Tom Brady, Bucky Larson. Last time I checked this scored 0% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Dennis Dugan, 'Just Go With It' and 'Jack & Jill'. I've already explained why Dugan should win.

Stephen K. Bannon, The Undefeated. This "documentary" is still scoring 0% on Rotten Tomatoes. This pretty much shows that Bannon is a strong contender for Worst Director.
Directed by Michael Bay and M. Night Shyamalan comes a movie guaranteed to win Razzies.

I don't know, man. Based on what I've read, it seems that not a lot of people have actually seen THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE II, and it's only in consideration because of its concept, and in this case, Tom Six's ego. And I think the THE UNDEFEATED is only in real consideration for Worst Actress.

I would say the potential list is pretty good and i don't have many complaints, however the absence of Paul W.S. Anderson from the list is pretty glaring, the guys been making movies since 1995 and has directed, produced, and written a laundry list of crap (AvP, death race, three musketeers, and every single Resident evil movie) yet to my knowledge has no nominations. I think in the long run he wont win, but he more than deserves a nomination for his more than 16 years of garbage.

However since he's not on the ballet as of yet i cast my vote for Dennis Dugan, 2 Adam Sandler sh*t piles in one year makes him the heavy favorite in my book, nothing else comes close.

I gotta agree with you on that one, some years we'll have a mega front runner that consumes the entire ballot, by that i mean that there's almost no question that a particular movie will sweep the razzies (Transformers 2, I know who killed me, The last Airbender). however this year we havent seen that, That's not to say the potential nominees this year aren't total sh*t, but nothing really seems to standout from the others like in previous years, it's just been one huge suckfest. So I feel this year would be a great year to spread the wealth to as many movies as possible, instead of just selecting a select few.

I sort of agree with that. You see, putting aside that Shyamalan is my fav director, I felt last year the Razzies were boring because it was so obvious that THE LAST AIRBENDER was gonna win from the moment it was released. Now, while there are a few movies that are more likely to be nominated, there isn't one front-runner. And I think that's also the case with every other category, which is even better! Except Worst Actor, although I think the battle between Nicolas Cage and Adam Sandler continues to be tied.

For Worst Actor it (so far) seems to be a three-horse race between Nicolas Cage, Adam Sandler and Nick Swardson. I am including Nick Swardson because his irritating on-screen presence is difficult to ignore.

I'll have to disagree with you with M. Night Shyamalan. He had a good start with 'The Sixth Sense' and 'Unbreakable'. After 'Unbreakable' I was under the impression that he would have a string of good movies. Unfortunately Shyamalan went downhill after 'Unbreakable'. 'Signs' was entertaining but was a bit too reliant on thrills. After that Shyamalan just lost the plot. No offence to you but that is why my signature will not be changing anytime soon.

I know Swardson has a goood chance of getting nominated. I'm just saying that I think the "winner" will either be Cage or Sandler. That's seems to be the general consensus. But neither of them is my front-runner (I won't say who until the Worst Actor poll posts).

I have another pick: David Dobkin for THE CHANGE-UP. Why? The movie starts and 2 minutes in we see a baby sh*tt*ng on Jason Bateman. We actually see the baby's anus preparing to sh*t.

The Sitter has received bad reviews with a 17% rating on Rotten Tomatoes! Maybe David Gordon Green can be a Worst Director contender for both this film and Your Highness (26% RT). I want this to be a Bonus Worst Movie of the Week or maybe someone can start a member-started forum page for that.

To everyone else: The only reason The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn should even be considered for Worst Director is to make a statement against OSCAR finalists going bad... right?

To Leo and Vits: But can we still have a forum for The Sitter? We need forums for as many critically-panned wide releases as we can get this month because we only got 2 forums this November, and for the past 2 weekends in a row (Nvb. 23 and Dcb. 2), no bad movies had been released.

Considering we're now in December, I don't think there should be member-started forums unless we're absolutely certain the movie's a contender.
