DISCUSSION/SUGGESTIONS for WORST ACTOR

When Remember Me came out, he was on his peak of fame, it was expected to be his chance of showing to the world that he can open a movie. I have commented before that I liked Water for Elephants and don't see the need for a nomination. But the movie did only decent numbers, and that with the help of two Oscar winners in leading roles, while his acting still hasn't convinced the critics. Lastly, Breaking Dawn is trailing New Moon by eight Mio Dollars, and even more with Eclipse. Internationally we will have to wait and see, but Summit is expecting to make 228 Mio, that means they expect it to end up at 650 Mio. I haven't written RPatts off, but in Breaking Dawn he delivered only one line and one scene that I liked. That is 100% more of what I liked about Adam Sandler and 0,1% of what I like when I watch a Geoffrey Rush. He deserves a spot up there if you like it or not.

I did see them. But that doesn't make Remember Me a hit, or critics like Patts acting, as much as you want it.
I'm having a Déjà vu here. I had a simular conversation last year with 27years. But she at least came up with a few good points why not to vote for Twilight/Pattinson. Nobody here is impressed by the numbers his movies made.
And it doesn't matter if that statement is old, it is trailing New Moon, and its numbers don't make Breaking Dawn a good movie anyways.
As I said, I have goodwill for the guy and I'm interested in his period drama. But looking at Patts future projects shows me he isn't doing anything. I hope he is at least taking some acting lessons, to show that he takes his craft serious, while he is sitting on his butt, waiting for good directors to take a chance with him.

I seem OK because I have goodwill for Patts? What kind of logic is that? I'd like to think of myself as trying to be unbiased and objective, and  I don't need your confirmation just because I'm giving him a chance. 

I said this before: The biggest problem with films like The Green Hornet and No Strings Attached receiving nominations is that they would rob several worse, more deserving films of nominations. It happened twice in 2008 with Mamma Mia and Crystal Skull. I'd say it was a big deal then because Saw V didn't get a nod for Worst PSRR. But if Drive Angry 3D has to be included, I suppose that wouldn't be as bad as other such instances as long as Cage is still getting nominated for Season of the Witch and Trespass. We can't afford to see No Strings Attached, The Green Hornet, and Final Destination 5 rob Abduction, HOP, Arthur [remake], The Dilemma, etc. of nominations for Worst Actor.  

Yeah. I mean, it wouldn't be fair that only Megan was nominated when most of the ones who saw it agree he was worse.
