I just saw the trailer for this movie. Yeah, it's pretty much Carrey in CGI, but it actually looks better than I expected.

Maybe we should have a countdown between this and the NEXT Christmas Carol adaptation movie that H-Wood is sure to make? My guess: a maximum period of one year.

least for Carrey)?

Yeah. I was a bit shaky on it receiving Razzie attention,
but it does look deserving of it. How many Christmas
movies do we need? I mean, Christmas is my favorite
holiday and all, but why can't we just stay with the
classics, like A Christmas Story and the old TV
specials... or even another one of the 100 million film
adaptations of A Christmas Carol?

Carrey might get one of my votes. Not because I think
he's bad. Just because I want him to realize that he
should be doing work more like Eternal Sunshine of the
Spotless Mind or The Truman Show

After seeing the 3D trailer this weekend, I'm backing off this one. I think it looks pretty good. Yes, it's been done too many times and the fact that it's CGI is going to automatically turn a lot of people off, but based on what I saw, this is going to be a least a solid visual effort that might well rise above most of the previous efforts, both live action and animated.

I also saw the trailer for Alvin 2: The Squeakuel No One Asked For

Now there is a Razzie worthy project. This movie could be the animated answer to Citizen Kane and it would be Razzie worthy because, for chrissakes, it's Alvin and the freaking chimpmunks!

In regards to Alvin 2, I completely agree with
saturnwatcher. If they couldn't even scratch up enough
material to make a halfway decent trailer, then how could
the film itself be any good? Plus, the original was
HORRIBLE!!!
