Oh, God! It's back! Here's a LINK to the teaser trailer for this  crap-induced remake/sequel.

No one asked for it, and no one will care when it comes out...

This teaser is what's called a "special shoot" -- Meaning everything in it was shot especially for the promo, and will likely not be seen in the final feature. Which, considering how stunningly UN-funny the teaser is, is probably just as well...

The teaser was UNfunny, and the FIRST film was unfunny enough. That Clive Owen cameo/reference was may be the only funny thing the film had going for it...

Considering how dreadful the first one was, I'd love to title #2 as "A Shot In
The Head"...

The existence of this project shows above all MGM leaped before looking, assuming they'd break the bank with part 1 (it's amazing they always have supreme confidence in every single production no matter what red lights may be flashing), so in a way I hope it goes so far under the whole company ends up in the red.  Let's see what their position on unpopular corporate bailouts becomes like then.

Regardless, I think this proves also that the studios are now abandoning Steve en masse because he's committed the cardinal sin of getting older (as if one could really tell in his case), so he has no choice but to do these to keep the mortgage paid; he has in general had the best project judgement of the SNL/SCTV generation through the years, so I think it's less him and more them leveraging him.  Perhaps, though, it might be time to hang it up after he does manage another good film so he can say he had the honor of going out on top.

Steve Martin has the best product judgement????

Roxanne?
Bowfinger?
A Simple Twist of Fate?
3 Amigos?
The Man With Two Brains?
Baby Mama?
Cheaper by the Dozen???
The Out Of Towners?
Bilko?
Father Of The Bride?
The Lonely Guy?

All of these are elegantly mounted pieces of trash!

Nobody who quit Saturday Night Dead has ever made a consistently good
chain of movies, and the latest one to follow that trend is Mike Myers.
instead of making The Love Guru, he should have stuck with Austin
Powers and made Thundershagg!

I would argue Bill Murray had the best record out of them all, and he's picked his share of awful movies.

I certainly do disagree with the choices in which ex Saturday Night Dead
players weren't in the lead. Of that list, the only one with saving graces is Ed
Wood!

If there's one thing worse than a remake, it's a sequel to a remake. Hollywood just won't learn, will it?

What is so depressing is I remember William Shatner and Walter Matthau
starred in the Broadway version of A Shot In The Dark, and they were both a
lot funnier than Stale ol Steve

The Movie Preview Critic's take on the new sequel.

It's both funny and sad because it's true.

Funny stuff from The moviepreviewcritic. I have always said you can't replace The Great Peter Sellers he made The Inspector Jacques Clouseau character famous Inspector Jacques Clouseau was Peter Sellers character, and they have never given it to Steve Martin.
