Enough with The STOOPID Spoofs, Already!!

The trailer for Meet the Spartans looks pretty desperate to me. Spiderman, Rambo and Spartans, what the hell directors? Can't you just spoof things pertaining to 300 or the Ancient World, not life and pop culture?

Friedberg and Seltzer got off lightly for Epic Movie and Date Movie.  Those movies only drew one Razzie "win" last year (for Carmen Elektra) and two Razzie nominations this year (one for Carmen Elektra).  Perhaps they will finally get their due with Meet the Spartans.

I was just at Rotten Tomatoes and this has a friggin' zero! One review said: OK, I get it now: Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg are agents of Satan himself, and their recruitment video is Meet the Spartans...a new low even for these diseased buffoons. Owen Gleiberman, the only critic dumb enough to give "Epic Movie" a good review, better not give this a thumbs up, or whatever respect I have for him will dissapear.

He, also, gave "The Number 23" a good review. I'm beginning to dislike him.

Bad news guys: "Meet The Spartans" is the number 1 movie in America and it now has a 6% rating at RT. It wasn't from Gleiberman. It's from someone named Kam Williams. Further digging reveals that Williams gave "Dan In Real Life", "Team America: World Police", "Lord Of War", "The 40 Year Old Virgin", "Babel", and "Glory Road", a 0/4, "Resurrecting The Champ" a .5/4, "Things We Lost In The Fire", "You Kill Me", "Fracture", "The Matador", "Unleashed", "Superman Returns", "Inside Man", "Junebug", "Transporter 2", "Anchorman", "Apocalyto", "Walk The Line", "Master And Commander", "Catch A Fire", "King Kong", "The Illusionsit", "Flags Of Our Fathers", and "Hairspray" a 1/4, and "The Kite Runner", "American Ganster", "Cold Mountain", and "In The Valley Of Elah" a 1.5/4. He, also, gave good reviews to "The Invasion", "Rush Hour 3", "The Perfect Holiday", "Augest Rush", "Feel The Noise", "DOA: Dead Or Alive", "Georgia Rule", "The Ultimate Gift", "El Cantante", "Gray Matters", "Bewitched", "The Honeymooners", "King Arthur", "Taking Lives", "Against The Ropes", "Let's Go To Prison", "Tideland", "Freedomland", "Madea's Family Reunion", "Balls Of Fury", "The Quiet", "The Last Sin Eater", "In The Mix", "Aeon Flux", and "Date Movie". There is one silver lining: "Meet The Spartans" only made $6,660,000. "Epic Movie" made $18,612,544 and "Date Movie" made $19,076,261 in their opening weekends. Maybe, the people are getting tired of the crap.
