Oh yeah, 20th Century Fox was up in arms when the Tim Allen stinker "Zoom" came out around the same time as "X-Men: Last Stand". Then again, if Fox had their way, they would sue any studio for making any kind of superhero movie, since they want them all to themseleves (90% of which they always ruin, "Fantantic Four", "Ghost Rider", "DareDevil", "Elektra", etc.!)
The Four Horsemen of the Moviepocalypse: uncalled for sequels/remakes/reboots, 3-D surcharges, untalented "celebrities", and anything with Michael Bay's name attached to it.

I just rewatched the trailer and i just can't get excited about this film. It looks like just way to many things (mostly special-effects) happen at once on the screen (the same problem Transformers 2 had) so that your audience doesn't know were to look and quickly gets bored.

Of course i could be wrong (and probably am). Just out of curiousity, if this film REALLY disapoints could it be possible that we have an early contendor on our hands for next year? I mean there is a lot of hype around this film and that probably will not work in it's favor.

Miguel, I think it's kind of impossible to make another Battlefield Earth. I think it's just THAT bad.

I do however have the tendency to misprenounce this films title as Battlefield: LA but that has more to do with the title than the film.

This film is only a few days away from release yet no reviews have come in yet (during the time I wrote this post). I think we should give them time so we don't get the impression that Sony is acting like a teenager hiding offensive objects under his bed from his parents (not showing the film to critics).

You see in this filmmaking world there's two types of people my friend. Those with the knowledge of film and those who think they do but really don't.

I currently predict that this movie will end up in the "Marginal" range at Rotten Tomatoes (35-39%), but I honestly doubt this'll be as bad as Battlefield Earth or Skyline. Those two were deplorably bad movies, and the odds of this being worse are very slim, muy delgado, or totemo yaseteimasu.

Roger Ebert really hated this film. link I thought it was worth mentioning, because he mentioned the Razzies in his review:
The aliens are hilarious. Do they give Razzies for special effects? They seem to be animal/machine hybrids with automatic weapons growing from their arms, which must make it hard to change the baby. As the Marines use their combat knives to carve into the aliens, they find one layer after another of icky gelatinous pus-filled goo. Luckily, the other aliens are mostly seen in long shot, where they look like stick figures whipped up by apprentice animators.

I have a feeling GTA's prediction will be spot on this one, I'll probably catch a matinee run of this despite Ebert's over dramatic warning.

This one of those rare movies that premiere internationally before.This movie came out today,and I admit it was a "maybe" for me.But I'll go see UNKNOWN instead.

I must say, since I just left the theater that this movie is without a doubt the most, absolute, 100 percent, no joke, completely undeniable, WORST alien movie ever made!  Since humans first breathed oxygen.  Take your 9 bucks - wipe your ass with it and smile 'cause you're smart for not seeing it.

Interjection: If you are saying that it was worse than Skyline, you'll be disappointed if it's not deep enough on my Bottom 40 Films of 2011 a year from now. I can see it being between the #25-#21 Worst Film of 2011.
