I think every country gets the same crap as we do.
"Woody Allen, whatever his failings, does not make movies for morons. Most directors do. Of course, most directors are morons."

Hated SJ in this.  She acted like the blond ditz she truly is.  This was not a decent movie at all.  Crap is a good word for it.

I know it wouldn't seem like this, but for Michael Bay, this was a decent movie. It was much better than Armageddon and Pearl Harbor, but that's not saying too much. It had some interesting visuals, an interesting storyline and decent acting (SJ was the worst, but she was not terrible), and Bay's directing was definitely the worst part. If it was directed by a more capable person it could have been great.

I just re-watched it after many years.

It could've easily fixed all the mistakes in the movies it pays tributes/copies from (THX-1138, LOGAN'S RUN, COMA, etc....). It has a good beginning but all the social commentary is displayed there. The rest is just a regular action movie... and an unexciting one. Every time it starts to get deep, an overlong action sequence starts. Scarlett Johansson's performance is bad, and not just because of her character, but the cinematography and score are good.

The final act is just boring. And they made a mistake by giving the story a happy ending. Those other movies I mentioned above didn't have one because... Do I really have to explain it?

I give it a 3/10.

You missed the film that this film steals from the most: Parts: The Clonus Horror. The makers of Parts actually sued Dreamworks for this film.

I included that one in the "Etc.", as well as the other movies that I haven't seen (I've seen the 3 I mentioned).
