My apologies for my late entry into this conversation, but the Lone Ranger teaser left me with 2 distinct impressions: 1. A film is probably in some trouble when the 2 principle characters are virtual no-shows in the trailer 2. The heavy emphasis on trains and ultimately a wrecked one are probably extremely appropriate. This project has "train wreck" written all over it.

Oiram, if you don't have Kate "WORST Actress of the past decade" Hudson on your ballot at this point, it's clear you just don't GET it; explain to us how Jennifer Lawrence, Anna Kendrick, and Elizabeth Banks (to name just three) are WORSE than the "star" of a movie w/a 4% RT rating and a domestic BO gross of $15,000 (yes, that's 15 THOUSAND!) in its ENTIRE run...

I just went to the movies. I know I was supposed to see THE EXPENDABLES 2, but I had to see "360" because of a promise. For your consideration: Worst Remake or Rip-Off, because: A) It's loosely based on the play LA RONDE. B) While there are many hyper-linked movies, this one directly rips-off BABEL (and maybe CRASH) for having multiple languages. And since it was directed by Fernando Meirelles and written by Peter Morgan, I guess it also rips-off CITY OF GOD and HEREAFTER, to some extent. |

Well, the list of contenders I posted earlier woud not change much if it were my own opinions, except John Carter, Joyful Noise, and Savages would not be on there. Plus, films like This Means War, LOL, Lucky One, and Little Bit of Heaven (so Larch would stop harping on my ass about it.) would also be on the list somewhere.
Oh, and since I'm here: Trailer for the Carrie remake. I can already tell it is closer to the original Stephen King book, but whether that makes it better than the 1977 version or not, we'll have to wait and see.
