I REMEMBER SOMEONE MENTIONING THAT THIS UNNECESSARY SEQUEL SHOULD BE UNDER RAZZIE CONSIDERATION, BUT IT SEEMS WE ARE BUSY WITH UNDERWORLD AWAKENING SO I AM GIVING THIS A SHOT AS A MEMBER-STARTED FORUM.

CURRENTLY SITTING AT 40% ON R.T. AND DIRECTED BY THE SAME GUY WHO DIRECTED RAZZIE NOMINEE CATS & DOGS 2, THIS COULD BE PURE DISASTER.
SO THEN, BEGIN YOUR RANTS ON THIS HORRIBLE-SOUNDING JOURNEY!

Don't get me wrong, I liked the first one, but this "sequel" is just... no.
Pictures move, do they?

I don't remember if I liked the 1st one of this or not, but if I did, the movie was lucky. It had really bad FX. Regardless, I doubt this one will be good.

I think the only reason it was made is because Josh Hutcherson has become a lot more famous since the last one. And now they pair him with Razzie nominees Dwayne Johnson, Michael Caine and, Vanessa Hudgens, who was in consideration this year for BEASTLY and SUCKER PUNCH (I don't know if she made it onto the nominating ballot). But there's also Luis Guzmán, one of the few actors who can be funny Latin sidekick without being offensive.

Hudgens wasn't on the Razzie nominating ballot.

And I thought the first one of these was... "meh."  The only reason I saw it was because it was on a double-bill with Hellboy II -- The kid behind me kept kicking my seat and had the most irritating laugh.

Could this be a possible contender for both Worst Sequel AND Worst Rip-off?

R.T. (40-50%): "Aggressively unambitious, it might thrill tween viewers, but most others will find it too intense for young audiences and too cartoonishly dull for adults".

True, but this one still has more chances to be nominated.

I was actually kinda surprised by it's box office. Usually waiting five or more years to do a sequel to a film that wasn't a huge hit (the original did make over 200 million worldwide, but was not a huge hit when compared to the others). Then again it does have Dwayne Johnson, who just got off Fast Five.
