What about Contraband? I would like to point out that Mark Whalberg and Giovanni Ribisi, two of the stars of Contraband, are also going to be in a movie called Ted, which will be written by, directed by, and featuring the voice of Seth MacFarlane, creator of Family Guy, involving a killer teddy bear. Kate Beckinsale, who's also in Contraband, will also star in Underworld 4 and Total Remake- I mean, Recall. So, no, don't lose Contraband.Maybe this'll be the time I also ask about the ballots. First off, why still the lack of Zookeeper? What, the possibility of all four of the Happy Madison produced movies (Other three being Bucky, Just Go With It, and Jack & Jill) being Worst Picture contenders does not sound exciting enough for you?Second, I noticed that anyone that did a voice over role is completely shot out of the ballots. So it was fine to nominate Dan Aykroyd, a man who has not really been in the public eye for a while, last year for Yogi Bear, but it's not ok to nominate Katy Perry, one of the women all over the radio (Serious, Katy Perry made Smurfette sound like a bored Lindsay Lohan, and this is from a non-fan's point of view) or Ricky Gervais, who spent last Golden Globes bashing everyone else, yet does something ten-times worse which he doesn't even try to make it passable? (Ricky's voice sounded literally phoned-in in Spy Kids 4.)

Oiram, the only Razzie credential that I think Contraband has might be for Kate Beckinsale... 

So far it's tied 7 to 7 at Rotten Tomatoes, and has a 52% at Metacritic based on 8 reviews. I doubt it'll sink much lower than that. I forget who suggested giving Joyful Noise a forum, but I feel like it's Watashi: 1, Anata: 0 after the crash of The Devil Inside. I knew by the fact that a recent film starring her non-majesty Queen Latifah, Just Wright (released on 5-14-010) got in the 50's in approval rating and review scores. I conclude this is not one of ours.

Roger Ebert gave this 1.5/4.

But I'd have to say (given that they each received at least nominations for RAZZIES®) I thought all three of the "prequels" sucked to varying degrees. If you are asking where they rank among my all-time favorites, I don't think any of them would make my 100 Best of All Time list...

So, from the you didn't ask me, but I'm going to tell you anyway corner, I have never really understood why a lot of people got so incredibly worked up over this whole series. I was never fond of any of the films (being old enough to have seen the first 3 in original release). At some level I suppose they are good "park your brains" entertainment, but there are glaring errors and nothing particularly original in any of them. I was personally appalled that after the mighty Empire managed to gain control over virtually the entire far, far away galaxy, the formidable forces of Darth Vader ultimately got their asses kicked by Teddy Bears. Yeah, right.
