The 2013 YouReviewers Movie Awards (it is vital that you read the description box). You'll never guess which ones win Best and Worst Movie.

I still feel that Twilight will not walk away with Worst Picture because even the worst of Twilight, and a lot of people recognize that. people even say this recent movie is not as bad as the previous entries. Wasn't good, but still not as bad. I am not saying it is impossible for Twilight to sweep, but I feel that they are not going to really do that. I think that they'll just compensate by having it win many awards. But heck, we'll see in a few hours. Not making any bets, by the way. Also, how many of those that commented on the Rotten Tomatoes poll are actual Razzie voters? EDIT: Consider this: Adam Sandler's movies have been getting a much worse reputation than before. Heck, not counted the animated movie, they've been bombing. Next year we see Grown Ups 2, let us not forget. What I am saying is, maybe the voters want Sandler to be the firs man to win Three consecutive Worst Actor Razzies. |

All my predictions were correct except for Worst Director, Screenplay, and Picture. I told you Twilight would not do the Jack & Jill sweep, but it still won Worst Picture. I am honestly disappointed. It is not good, don't get me wrong, but compared to the other nominees like Battleship and That's My Boy? I know this is (possibly) the last time Twilight will be on the Razzie lists, but you could have easily just given it the Worst Sequel or Remake award and that would have been its consolation prize. I'm sure some others will share my disappointment. Maybe now it is done, we can actually focus on the REAL Worst Pictures.
Worst Director for Bill Condon is also something I'm disappointed in. I know he's made Oscar worthy movies in the past*, and he should have known or done better, but I felt Peter Berg gave more disappointing results. What was interesting is that Twilight did not win Worst Screenplay. That went to That's My Boy. I mean, if you guys have decided to bash the Twilight movies, why not go all the way and have the author herself win? She "helped" in writing the screenplay this time! Still, my pick would have been Battleship, but That's My Boy is a good choice too. Now Headrazz, I know you have said that IMDb is probably false in saying that five people, including Sandler, did uncredited rewrites to the script, but didn't That's My Boy feel like it went through a few rewrites? So again, I do not mind the wins except for Worst Picture and Director. I hope that a disappointment like this does not happen again. By the way, place your bets now. I have a feeling Sandler is going to be the first man to win THREE WORST ACTOR RAZZIES IN A ROW. *Matter of fact, he's working on one right now, possibly to make up for being associated with Twilight |

My votes are represented in only three categories.
Can you say outvoted? ![]() I'm not really disappointed, but still mourning the snubbing of Devil Inside. However, can't wait for the release of Grown Ups 2 and see how Sandler does regarding a potentially third winning. And also, hopefully the show will soon be uploaded on the Razzie YouTube channel. I read great comments about it. |

The only categories that went to something I voted for were Worst Supporting Actor and Worst Screen Couple.
And now a quick note on the terrible movies I might live-Tweet: Mac And Me is expiring on Netflix streaming at the end of the month. I was planning on doing it in March so that can be ruled out. Here's some other terrible movie on Netflix streaming: Shining Through, Godzilla's Revenge, and the Sgt. Pepper movie. And here's my Oscar picks: Picture: Lincoln (I'm still not convinced that Argo's going to win) Director: Steven Spielberg Actor: Daniel Day-Lewis Actress: Jennifer Lawrence Supporting Actor: Tommy Lee Jones Supporting Actress: Anne Hathaway Original Screenplay: Zero Dark Thirty Adapted Screenplay: Lincoln Animated Film: Wreck-It-Ralph Foreign Film: Amour Cinematography: Lincoln Editing: Argo Production Design: Les Mis Costume Design: Les Mis Make-up And Hairstyling: Les Mis Score: Lincoln Song: Skyfall Sound Mixing: Les Mis Sound Editing: Argo Visual Effects: Life Of Pi Documentary: Searching For Sugar Man I don't usually do the shorts category, but Paperman should (and probably will) win Best Animated Short, but I don't really count this with the other categories.

Since I've nowhere else to say it, I'll give my take on the 2012 RAZZIES here.
I have mixed feelings on Breaking Dawn Part 2 winning Worst Picture. I'm partly for it because most of the 50% of viewers who liked it were already fans of the franchise anyway, let alone Twi-Hards. It's a big "in your face!" to the (beep)s who ate up that (beep) like it were candy. You could say it won on principle because all the hype, all the box office, all the media promotions, and it has no staying power. That is, people will not remember the Twilight Saga in the decades to come. Most importantly, I should've expected Breaking Dawn Part 2 to win despite having better entertainment value than the previous 4 Twilight films because this was the last call, and now Twilight's most likely gone for good. But I'm also half against it; All I need to say is that I voted for A Thousand Words for Worst Picture!
Mr. Michaels had a good argument for keeping the Worst Couple category: Nominations like The Wicker Man [remake] for Nicholas Cage and his bear costume. It always makes me think, "Why can't couples like those win Worst Couple more often?" For Worst Couple, I voted for Madea's Witness Protection for Tyler Perry and his drag get-up. Of course, the pedophilic implications between Jacob Black and Renesmee Cullen were completely out of line on the part of those who made Breaking Dawn Part 2, so it figures that nothing else would stand a chance. And as I'll always say about the category, I've accepted that it's here to stay, but should be renamed "Worst Couple, Triple, Quartet, or Medley".
For Worst Remake, Rip-off, or Sequel, I remember voting for either Piranha 3DD or Total Recall [remake]. If I didn't vote for one of those, I voted for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.
And if my memory serves me, for Worst Supporting Actor, I voted for Battleship and Wrath of the Titans for Liam Neeson.
Again, I think the deciding factor in Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 sweeping the 2012 RAZZIES was the "Last Call" parameter.

I'm back from ZERO DARK THIRTY (I know, I waited until the last minute). It's more overrated than ARGO, but less overrated than LINCOLN. Here's my prediction: Remember when the Oscar nominations were announced that I said AMOUR was the frontrunner? I'm sticking to it. I think this year is going to be like 2006 (CRASH vs BROKEBACK). It also will either win Director and Original Screenplay, but not both. Depending on that, Steven Spielberg could win Director or Quentin Tarantino could win Original Screenplay. Adapted Screenplay will go to Chris Terrio. Based on my experiences, I think that Jennifer Lawrence's recent wins won't give her more odds, so Jessica Chastain will win Actress. Actor, Supp. Actress, Song and Foreign Film are too obvious (Daniel Day-Lewis, Anne Hathaway, SKYFALL and AMOUR), while Supp. Actor is a coin toss. LES MIS will win Make-Up/Hair. SEARCHING FOR SUGAR MAN will win Documentary. LINCOLN will win Art Direction. LIFE OF PI will win Photography, Music and Visual Effects. ARGO will win Sound Mixing while ZDT will win Sound Editing, and either one will win Editing. In recent years, the Academy has chosen to be less obvious about giving Costumes to period pieces and sometimes giving them to Fantasy Movies, so I think this year it'll go to either SNOW WHITE movie (or maybe ANNA KARENINA, because I heard it mixed modern and vintage styles). Also in recent years, the Academy has shown that they're smarter than other awards when it comes to Animation, so I do think that WRECK-IT RALPH will win instead of BRAVE.
That shows that the voters are fair.
Ditto.
How can people forget a movie that's listed among the biggest box office record breakers?
I'm still waiting for HeadRAZZ to announce that, just like when Sofia Coppolla won, this pairing got more than 60% of the votes. |

The hammer has been dropped! The book has been thrown! "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2" wins seven Razzie Awards including Worst Picture. In comparison, the Twilight Saga didn't have as big a presence at the Methane Movie Awards. Furthermore, the Methane Movie Awards were more dispersed. Here are the final results of the Methane Movie Awards:
Worst Remake or Adaptation: Battleship Worst Sequel: Atlas Shrugged: Part II Worst Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role: Taylor Lautner in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2" Worst Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role: Sienna Guillory in "Resident Evil: Retribution" Worst Performance by a Cast: Battleship Worst On-Screen Pairing: Adam Sandler and either Andy Samberg, Leighton Meester, or Susan Sarandon in "That's My Boy" Worst Achievement in Writing (tie): Battleship (written by Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber) and That's My Boy (written by David Caspe) Worst Propaganda Disguised as a Feature Film (tie): Atlas Shrugged: Part II and 2016: Obama's America Worst Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role: Katherine Heigl in "One for the Money" Worst Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role: Adam Sandler in "That's My Boy" Worst Achievement in Directing: John Putch for "Atlas Shrugged: Part II" Worst Motion Picture of the Year: The Devil Inside

Me a couple of days ago: there's no way I can bungle my Oscar picks up. I'm so confident, that I'll say I'll live-Tweet a horrendous movie if I get more than half wrong.
Me right now: why did I say that? Why????

Don't feel bad. I think you got a lot of them right. Gotta say, Ang Lee winning surprised me. Not mad, just surprised. I think most of us thought Mr. Spielberg would pull a Meryl Streep this year. Sooo... Anyone wanna guess what movie will be Worst of the Week? I don't think Stoker will be, let me start off by saying. The first one I wanna talk about is the one people probably know the least about, Phantom. Apparently, it has something to do with a Soviet submarine ghost trying to save stuff- I don't know. It stars Ed Harris, Mulder, William Fitchner... Er It just doesn't look good, however, it looks like one of those movies that will easily be forgotten, even by us. Now, the next one to talk about is Jack the Giant Kil- Oh I'm sorry, Jack the Giant SLAYER. It stars Nicholas Hoult, who has already starred in Warm Bodies. I will say it looks like if it is bad, the only thing it could be nominated for is Worst Remake and possibly Worst Director, but it looks like it will be bad in that it's "meh" kind of bad. Now we go onto 21 and Over, starring people you probably never heard of before. The writers and (first time) directors are Jon Lucas and Scott More, whom did The Hangover. You would think that is a good thing, until you look at their other work and realize that was the ONLY good thing they did. Maybe this will be a surprise, I don't know, but right now, it just looks clichéd. Finally, probably the most likely pick, The Last Exorcism Part II, and just the title alone is already a problem. Just look, the only people that returned are the producer and main girl star, but it looks like they took a cue from Exorcist II: The Heretic. I think it is a sequel completely unnecessary, and most likely one that should have stayed unmade. What do you guys think? |

RETURN of Head RAZZberry: Hi, Gize! I'm semi-rested up/recuperated from Saturday's 33rd Annual RAZZIE® Awards ceremonies, and ready to get back to "active duty" here on our Forum. You all did great work in my "absence," and I appreciate it berry much.
This week's Worst of the Weak pick is between JACK THE GIANT KILLER/SLAYER, LAST EXORCISM, TOO and PHANTOM. I hope to have an Official Forum discussion going for at least one (or maybe more) of 'em by tomorrow/Tuesday. In other words, please don't jump the gun and put up a Member-Started Forum for any of these titles 'till I've had time to do my work. Then, if any of 'em don't end up being "official," feel free to set those up... |

Headrazz, since you are here, please watch these. You need to understand why these films deserve a chance at Worst Picture.
Oh, and I forgot that Jack the Giant Slayer was one of those movies that was supposed to be released 2012, but got scared of the competition and retreated to this year. |

Here's what Jeremy Jahns thinks about it:
I got a 15/20. Yay!
I was just about to say that 21 AND OVER shouldn't get it, because of the lack of "Razzie love" that PROJECT X got. As Oiram said, PHANTOM seems forgettable. I'm sure there are voters who want Bryan Singer to win because he wasn't even nominated for SUPERMAN RETURNS, but JACK THE GIANT WHATEVER doesn't seem to be following the path of other recent dark fairy tale adaptations. Not to mention that Nicholas Hoult hasn't had a main role in a bad movie so far. THE LAST EXORCISM PART II seems the more obvious choice. It's a Horror (the most Razzable genre) sequel (another type of movie the Razzies love) nobody asked for (and that doesn't seem to make sense story-wise). And the first one was actually good, so they could ruin it. And it's Found Footage.

Although ARGO won at the Oscars, ZERO DARK THIRTY was the movie that won most awards throughout the season.
By the way, there are a couple of Best Picture winners that nowadays are considered bad. Will ARGO suffer the same fate? I'd say no, mostly because of the number of modern critics.

I'm happy "Argo" won Best Picture, but I'm not happy "Wreck-It Ralph" got turned down for "Brave." It's amazing how the Oscars never fail to piss me off (in one way or another)!
I don't have predictions for March because I don't know enough about most of the releases. I do know that March 29 is practically a field day for us, because three potential prospects ("G.I. Joe: Retaliation," "The Host," and "Temptation: Tyler Perry's Confessions of a Marriage Counselor") are all being released that same day... |
