I'll tell you why you both should bother: You are not even fighting about the same thing anymore! MWG reviews the movie, Burn says he was gonna like it no matter what, MWG thinks Burn didn't see it, Burn attacks him, MWG talks inmature, Burn talks patronizing...

You ask why you can never settle anything? It's because it's the same pattern as always. You both suck at debates, you detour and end up talking about other stuff, you make it personal, etc. And then you both decide to walk away thinking you're the bigger man -- but you're not, because you leave thinking you were right about everything. The truth is, both of you are right on some things and wrong on others. You also both are thinking you're a better person, when in fact,if one of you strikes a low blow, the other one follows him. MWG takes it worse because Burn has Michaels to back him up.

By the way, after your post, Burn and Michael could watch the movie, download the script, etc., so it's pointless for them to answer MWG's questions.

Just answer the questions, Burn. If you're wondering why I'm pressing you guys to answer the questions, it's because if you seriously were lying, it would bring not only a sense of distrust among this forum on you, but it would also harm your credibility dramatically.

Well, if MWG wants to keep this silly song and dance going, then I guess I'll grant his wish. I mean, this discussion was about how he proved Ebert's review true, and that he is a bias fanboy who only cares about death scenes and he was going to love this movie no matter what. If he would just admit to that, I would have the tiniest bit of respect for him. But that's okay, I'll play along with his little game. He wants me to answer his questions and so I have. Not only that, but I recorded and listed the answers in a carefully worded video. So moviewizguy, this one's just for you!

But they wouldn't and judging by how they're buying time, they still haven't.

After many pages of debating it seems the never ending battle between Gee Wiz:

and Saturn:

...has finally come to an end.

Victory goes to Saturn, for actually making logical points while still being respectful, and because Gee-wiz's arguments ranged from insane to WTF? Seriously, kid, pick your arguments better, and yes, as Vits pointed out, the whole "prove you watched the movie" argument is downright dumb, Nobody should have to answer to you about whether they've seen a movie or not, and besides, all they have to do is look around the web and BAM there are the answers. It's pointless and immature.

Oh, and as a side note, the whole arguing back-and-forth about who's (or which) rating system is superior is as downright f**king pointless as the Final Destination movies, Let's just end this sh*t now and agree that we all have different ways of rating and reviewing movies. I agree that the 5 scale is the best, but if someone wants to use something different...LET THEM. WHO CARES!!!  Are things that f**king boring around here that we have to resort to this childish sh*t? Grow up and get over it, there are plenty of better things to bitch about...

Okay, rant over! I needed to get that out of my system.

P.S. The pictures are meant to be humorous, and not meant to be slanderous in anyway to either party, so don't get angry...have a laugh!

I don't have pet peeves, I have major psychotic f**king hatreds! George Carlin

I love the pic of me ClapLOL Admittedly I bear a bit of a resemblance to a (hopefully) somewhat younger Larry King, although I think suspenders are a crime against humanity Wink  If we had an icon here for that, I'd use it.

RESPONSE from Head RAZZberry: This exchange, without blatant personal attacks and all done with a clever and inventive sense of humor, is exactly what I was hoping for when I posted by "Dad is Mad" admonitions earlier this week. I am especially pleased to see that Saturnwatcher has embraced the good-natured fun being made of him.

Now, we're just awaiting an "in kind" good-natured response from MWG.  My expectation is that it could be along wait. But I hope I am wrong...

Well, I didn't care much for the argument with Saturn. That thing came out of nowhere tbh. And the whole "prove you watched the movie" is not dumb. I know, people don't have to answer to me, but that's missing the point. The point is proving whether or not they have seen the movie. And no, I didn't ask questions that were easily found online. I asked questions that required one to sit down and watch the film in its entirety. And I have a hate-filled private message from Michaels containing the words "f*ck," "retard," and other condescending words to prove that he did not see the movie. I can send it to you if you like. I'm still surprised I hit a nerve on him, which also explains why BHB and Michaels (who I think are the same person) haven't been on this forum for quite awhile.

You're right. It's not dumb, because people shouldn't give their opinions of movies they haven't seen. But it's pointless to ask about it because they can get the info, no matter what. Sorry to say it, but if it's true Burn and Michaels didn't see the movie, there's really nothing to do about it.

I know I can't do anything about it, but it does show that we can't really trust them.

Ok. Well, this movie reached 58% on 100 reviews. I suspect it'll get higher once more positive reviews from the UK come in, not like anyone actually cares anymore.

I was going to post that, and add that on MetaCritic, out of 24 critics, 10 gave it a positive review, 11 a mixed, and only 3 a negative.

But now I guess the haters will say that it has only a 50 score at MetaCritic, and that the Top Critics on RT only gave it 29%.

Who cares. The FD series is for fans, not critics.

A 29% from the top critics is not insignificant. It is the top critics that know what they are talking about...that is why they get big money from the big newspapers and websites. A lot of the others are little more than amateur bloggers.

Yeah, it is hard for the movie to get under 58% when 99% of the good reviews are coming from horror movie bloggers. A little biased maybe?

I don't think RT allows bloggers to post up their reviews. I mean, every time I click on a random review there, it's from an actual website.

Mwg...anybody can create an "actual website." Anybody can post movie reviews on it. That doesn' t make them legitimate critics. In fact, there are quite a few paid critics on r.t. that have dubious credentials, which is why a category was establshed for the top critics. But even the critics from some of the smaller publications are more credible than the ones for the fansites, who are typically little more than mouthpieces and cheerleaders.
