I'm obviously not very enthused.
Possible picks are Bradley Cooper as Templeton "Faceman" Peck, and Liam Neeson as John "Hannibal" Smith. I would've gone with Leslie Nielsen.
Other possible castings include Woody Harrelson as Capt. H.M. 'Howling Mad' Murdock, and Common, following his ho-hum performance in T4 as BA Barackus. The IMDB page lists Bruce Willis as a possibility, but I'd doubt that myself.
The current scriptwriter wrote the new GI Joe movie( )and Wolverine ( ).

They obviously would HAVE to have someone else, and Common could pull off the role physically, but he's just... well, he's more entertaining as a musician. I'll leave it at that.

Well, of course they should get the Rock to fill in the role, since he can do ANYTHING. Because he's the Rock.

The thought had crossed my mind.
But yea, they need to get someone who's... nah, you know what, I'm not going to help them make this stupid-ass idea of a movie work. The only show from the 80s that DESERVES a movie is Small Wonder. And maybe Punky Brewster, if they use the actual Soleil Moon-Frye. Cuz she's wicked hot.

Small Wonder: The Movie.... A Michael Bay Production! With Stephen "Mummyguy" Sommers handling the directing. Truly it would be a small wonder, if the movie actually made any money.

Also, I think that Punky Brewster was replaced by someone else, because there is NO WAY that the actress claiming to have been Punky actually WAS Punky.... Just no way. The two can't be the same person. Not possible.

I've just learned that Soleil Moon Frye is responsible for voicing Bratz cartoons.

I'd love to see Small Wonder Vicky fighting a bunch of CG monsters. While being CG the entire time herself. The whole movie wouldn't be CG, just anything and everything that might possibly be interesting, and yet a drag on the movie as a whole at the same time, as per Mummyguy's traditional motif.

So, for the Small Wonder movie, you want a completely CG movie, with some minor live-action elements to make the movie look as fake as possible? For the sake of camp, could we toss in some claymation? Claymation is about due for a revival, isn't it?

I'm personally waiting for the big screen adaptations of My Mother the Car and Me and the Chimp. Heck, I'd probably even be able to tolerate B.J. and the Bear. I'm actually in shock that someone hasn't done that one yet. How about T.J. Hooker? But The A-Team? The series was crap, even by the standards of the other 4 I mentioned.

Common is right now rumored to play Sgt. Bosco "B.A." Baracus as of right now. I once saw Ice Cube to be rumored to play that role, but not exactly true.

Is there really such a shortage of African American actors in LaLa Land these days that it is necessary to constantly resort to rappers? All that ever accomplishes is demonstrating that there are people out there who s*ck at two things.

So, I suppose suggesting Xhibit, or LL Cool J for the role wouldn't work out? I wonder, do you think MC Hammer is still available?

It'd really be very hard to find anyone to replace Mr. T, whether you dig into rappers or other actors. It's like trying to replace Brando in the Godfather, for whenever THAT remake decides to be made.
As for the series itself, of course it's overrated, but it's going to be a popular bit of pop-culture for years and years to come, and they apparently want to make a money grab during this time of weak economic prospects. I just hope it sucks as much as I think it will.
Here's a bit of good news, I think I may have convinced someone last night that the new GI Joe movie looks like s!@#.

Michael Clarke Duncan, perhaps? Maybe he would be a good fit for the Mr. T role... ... ... Nevermind. I'll think of someone who could fill the role perfectly one of these days....

Michael Clarke Duncan might be able to pull it off. Sort of.
And Tomsmo, I saw that Bruce Willis was the first choice, but the information I was going by was more current. It seems likely to be Liam.

Mr T was something of a cultural phenomenon that played for a moment in time, but he looks as silly in the context of 2009 as The A Team as a general story concept (Frankly, I thought the whole thing was retarded even most of 3 decades ago). I don't think it matters all that much who they cast in that role...if they try to sell that character in the same context, the movie going going to be a serious howler (and it almost certainly will be anyway)

Michael Clarke Duncan seems to me, like the type of guy who could pull off the role of a total bad-ass, if he was motivated properly... Being almost entirely unfamiliar with The A-team, I shouldn't really comment on his ability to fit into the movie. All I can say is, I think he could probably take down Rocky Balboa, and in the end, isn't that all that really matters?

lol Well, again Saturn, there are still a lot of Mr. T fans out there, as can be evidenced in that he still appears in commercials and stuff. And I still know a lot of people who hear the A-Team and go nuts, regardless of whether the show was all that good in the first place, or whether it stands the test of time or not. The movie SHOULD fail, it DESERVES to fail, based on it's very being alone, but there ARE people who will want to see this. I'm not vouching for their intelligence, I'm just sayin...

Mr T lost all credibility when he let Sly Stallone beat him up. I'm sorry world, but Sly guy couldn't cram enough steroids into his body to make that happen.

I still say the guy who takes on the Mr. T role should have to fight Rocky... It's only fair. And besides, then Sly can get another Rocky sequel out of it, and the wheels of comercialism will keep turning. It is....BRILLIANT!

Believe it or not, I agree with you. "Knight & Day", although far from being a great movie, was fun and exciting to watch. I wish more action-comedies were like it, because you got both of what you were paying to see: action AND comedy.

I would nominate this movie for a Razzie for worst casting in a movie! The actors don't resemble any of the original characters in the T.V. show!!! Here is a better line-up!Sleepy

John "Hannibal" Smith- Mel Gibson
Howling "Mad" Murdock- Jim Carrey
Templeton "Faceman" Peck- Leonardo Di Caprio
B.A. Baracus- Don't care! Just pick a more famous one who is just as famous as Mr.T!Ouch

They also needed a bigger storyline in the Dramatic sequences! Where in the hell was Colonel Decker in this movie and a Colonel Stockwell? I guess they should of left this one in the bag! that is why I nominate this particular movie for a Razzie for worst casting in a movie!! A very disappointing cast indeed!!Dead
Confused

Wow, that's re-casted list of actors is just the biggest clusterf*** I have ever seen. That would never work. First off, Mel Gibson's career is pretty much dead. Second, Carrey is WAY TOO animated, even for that role. Third, Di Caprio was too busy being in GOOD movies to bother with this one. Lastly, Rampage Jackson not only LOOKS like Mr. T, but he is also quite famous for his UFC background, sorry if he's not famous enough in your eyes, but he fits the role.
