The Last Fartbender is a must for the Worst Pic nomination, and I don't think Grown Ups should be overlooked. It's success at the box-office not withstanding, we should not ignore the fact that it was one of the worst reviewed movies of the year, and the cast alone should suggest Worst Picture credentials.

Just repeating? I'd say it would give them more weight! Some of us here would try to counteract it, and if you provided your input, their plan of making, say for example, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse lead the nominations, would probably fail. The least you can do is peruse my votes and analyze.

Okay, okay, you've talked me into it. Give me some time to throw a list together and I'll post it. Although, I will not be using the Worst Couple catagory, I'm going staright to Worst Ensemble, because if there was any other overused trend besides 3-D being done this year, it was "all-star" casts.

I just wanted to make an observation here that I suggested in another thread, but I want Miguel to take a very close look. It appears to me that if the regular posters here are thinking along lines similar to HeadRazz, Twilight appear to have only 2 strong possibilities for nominations: Taylor Lautner for Worst Supporting Actor (splitting between 2 efforts) and Worst Ensemble cast, for which it has at best a decidedly darkhorse prospect of winning. That is curious because I was considering posting my own observation that if I were a Vegas handicapper placing an over/under line on how many times it would appear on the nominating ballot, I'd put it at 2.5. If I were a bettor wagering on that line, I'd bet the under. Sorry, Miguel, but as we have all tried to tell you, your vendetta truly is a personal one.

Come on, saturnwatcher, five of us listed Robert Pattinson for Worst Actor, too, albeit for both Remember Me and Twilight: Eclipse.  Other than that, you're right  I'm surprised not more listed Twilight: Eclipse for Worst Sequel/etc, though.

BTW, will you post your suggestions?  HeadRAZZ needs to fill 12 slots in each category, and although, honestly, he doesn't need our help to do it, he's asked.

I notice a lot of people are listing 'Yogi Bear" before the movie is even released. Granted, it is yet another raping of one of my childhood memories, but shouldn't we wait until AFTER the movie is in theaters before we rip it a new a-hole?

I did over look the numerous Pattinson mentions, mea culpa. My own full list of suggestions is still in the works.

BTW, will you post your suggestions?  HeadRAZZ needs to fill 12 slots in each category, and although, honestly, he doesn't need our help to do it, he's asked.

http://www.razzies.com/forum/twilight-saga-new-moon_forum398.html - was nominated because it's the only one with bad reviews. The others have mixed reviews. If http://www.razzies.com/forum/twilight-saga-eclipse_forum445.html - does get nominated it would be in acting categories.

Since you all hate the saga so much then do it the right way:Nominate Pattinson for "Actor" and "Supporting Actor".That way it would be right because he's the lead in http://www.razzies.com/forum/remember-me_forum421.html - and isn't in  http://www.razzies.com/forum/twilight-saga-eclipse_forum445.html - ,and also,he would get more nominations.

I think Burlesque, Country Strong, The Tempest, and Yogi Bear could be upcoming Razzie contenders. But that's just a hunch, based ONLY on the trailers, so I didn't include them on my list.

I expect The Tempest to succeed, I'm not sure about Country Strong, Burlesque will probably fail, and Yogi Bear will crash.

And if SKYLINE has enough panning, but not enough pedigree, on second thought I'll just add the forum myself. Same for Alpha and Omega.

As for Worst Ensemble vs. Worst Couple, who are you to say how things SHOULD be?

The Razzies have had the Worst Screen Couple category for a very long time, and that category has been used as a comic award in many different ways.  For example, in 2006, Nicolas Cage and his bear suit were nominated for Worst Couple for his horrible remake of Wicker Man.  If you ever saw that damn bear suit, you'd understand why.  If you don't appreciate that comic side of the Razzies, especially concerning the Worst Couple category, or at the very least understand that, then you are in no position to judge how the Razzies SHOULD be.

However ... films these days are no longer counting on couples or duos, this was the year of "all-star casts". 5, 10, and in some cases, even 20 known stars all in one movie, regardless of they had any talent or chemistry between them. Also, in the past, Worst Couple has gone to the likes of "Said Actor or Actress and Anyone He/Her Shares The Screen With At Any Time". Does "Adam Sandler and Anyone He Shares The Screen With" do any justice for "Grown-Ups"? Not in my opinion. And lastly, Worst Ensemble would also be taking a pot shot at another award show's top prize, The Screen Actors' Guild's Best Ensemble Cast, where as Worst Couple isn't a pot shot at any major award show's catagories, it's actually just a joke on one of the MTV Movie Awards' catagories, and that show is a big enough joke as it is. Because of these three factors, this year's awards are a prime time to bring in this new catagory to replace the dated Worst Couple.

Welcome,Jcameronfan123.

Why do you insist on nominating cameos?

Isn't a sin to say something bad about Betty White?

http://www.razzies.com/forum/paranormal-activity-2_forum464.html - had the same good reviews as the first one.If you didn't like it,fine but I recomend you not to waste a space with it because it won't be nominated.

At first I considered submitting a list, but the only movie I've hated from this year is http://www.razzies.com/forum/crazy-on-the-outside_forum406.html - ,and it wouldn't be fair to assume the others will suck, even if there are some actors and filmmakers that I've hated in the past.Plus,I don't think that movie will be in the ballots anyway because of it's limited release.

2)The reason why HeadRAZZBerry proposed "Worst Ensemble" is because almost every year "Worst Couple" includes "Lead character and any supporting character stuck in the movie with him/her" or "Character and an object".I'm just quoting him.

2)Why don't combine those couple since they're from the same movie?
3)It has a screenplay?!

I do agree that the movie should be Razzed just for being made in bad taste, but like the "Hostel" movies, I doubt many voting members had the stomach to sit through it, so I doubt it would get many votes.

How dare you comparing Anne Hathway with those ladies in supporting actress? She's like milion times better.

For the record, I'm for having the category "Worst Ensemble".  But I'm also for having "Worst Couple" and having fun with it.  For example, oiram suggested "any and every couple in Valentine's Day".  Now, one could argue it should simply be nominated in "Worst Ensemble", but come on, he's make a great suggestion (I also like the nomination of Tobim Bell and every trap, victim and puppet in Saw 3D.  Great suggestions, oiram).

And that word "should" in Vits' context just rubs me wrong, like someone going black-and-white, making an absolute out of nothing than we all must acknowledge.

That's the problem with Worst Couple, if you're going to just say "any two people (or things) on screen at the same time sucked", then that's where Worst Ensemble should could in. "All-star" casts had to be the second biggest "we need to some how bring in as much money as we can" gimmick behind 3-D this year. Movies like "Grown-Ups" and "Valentine's Day" seemed to be customed made just for this new catagory. Worst Ensemble is just simpler and makes more sense, not to mention Worst Couple isn't mocking anything the Oscars does, it mocks the MTV Movie Awards, which already mock themselves.

I don't know about most of you, but I've had enough of seeing "Actor and any of several other people on screen at the same time". It's clear that Worst Screen Couple was not designed for the new millennium; Screen Couple was designed for 1994 and 1995, when every bad character came in pairs. Now they come in myriads.

Head Razz, I just stumbled home after seeing SKYLINE. and TRUST ME. It is a MAJOR contender. You need a new category for it--Worst Misrepresentation of a K-Mart Blue Light Special.

Previously, the experience of watching a midnight showing of The Human Centipede blotted out bad memories of other films but now after resisting the temptation of walking into the blue light, I've decided to try to whittle my picks down to the five worst, WITH the caveat that there are still several wild cards that haven't been played yet such as BURLESQUE, YOGI BEAR and TRON LEGO-SEE.

IF THIS WAS THE FINAL BALLOT, MY CHOICES ARE IN RED

WORST PICTURE:
  • THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE
  • SKYLINE
  • THE EXPENDABLES
  • THE LAST FARTSNIFFER
  • KILLERS
WORST ACTRESS:
  • ASHLYN YENNIE, THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE
  • ASHLEY C WILLIAMS, THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE
  • KATHERINE HEIGL, KILLERS
  • THANDIE NEWTON, FOR COLORED GIRLS
  • SCOTTIE THOMPSON, SKYLINE
WORST ACTOR:
  • SYLVESTER STALLONE, THE EXPENDABLES
  • DIETER LASER, THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE
  • ERIC BALFOUR, SKYLINE
  • ASHTON KUTCHER, KILLERS
  • JOHN TRAVOLTA, FROM PARIS WITH LOVE
WORST SUPPORTING ACTRESS:
  • MEGAN FOX, JONAH HEX
  • MILEY CYRUS, SEXLESS AND THE CITY TOO
  • EMILY BLUNT, THE WOOF MAN
  • WHOOPI GOLDBERG, FOR COLORED GIRLS
  • SALMA HAYEK, GROWN-UPS
WORST SUPPORTING ACTOR:
  • ANTHONY HOPKINS, THE WOOF MAN
  • DWAYNE ROCK JOHNSON, TOOTH FAIRY
  • AKIHIRO KITAMURA, THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE
  • ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER, THE EXPENDABLES
  • TRACY MORGAN, COPPED OUT
WORST DIRECTOR:
  • GREG/COLIN STRAUSE, SKYLIGHT
  • M NIGHT SHALANANANANMALAN, THE LAST FARTSNIFFER
  • TYLER PERRY, FOR COLORED GIRLS
  • TOM SICKS, THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE
  • SYLVESTER STALLONE, THE EXPENDABLES
WORST SCREENPLAY:
  • THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE
  • SKYLINE
  • VAMPIRES SUCK
  • FOR COLORED GIRLS
  • THE EXPENDIBLES
WORST SCREEN COUPLE
  • ANY TWO MEMBERS OF THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE
  • JOHN TRAVOLTA AND HIS MISSING HAIR, FROM PARIS WITH LOVE
  • KATHERINE HEIGL AND ASHTON KUTCHER, KILLERS
  • TOM CRUISE AND CAMERON DIAZ, KNIGHT AND DAY
  • ANY 2 OF THE EXPENDABLES
WORST SCREEN ENSEMBLE
  • THE WHOLE CAST THAT SHOULD BE SEALED IN PLASTER OF PARIS HILTON--HUMAN CENTIPEDE
  • THE WHOLE CAST OF SKYLINE
  • THE WHOLE CAST OF TWILIGHT: ECLIPSE
  • THE WHOLE CAST OF GROWN UPS
  • THE WHOLE CAST OF THE EXPENDABLES!
WORST PREQUEL/REMAKE/RIPOFF OR SEQUEL:
  • ALICE IN WONDERLAND (WHICH MADE ME YEARN FOR THE IRWIN ALLEN/STEVE ALLEN VERSION)
  • A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET
  • SEX AND THE CITY 2 MANY TIMES...
  • TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE
  • FOR COLORED GIRLS

  • SAW VII 3-D
  • CLASH OF THE TITANS 3-D
  • THE LAST FARTSNIFFER 3-D
  • JACKASS 3-D
  • LISA MURKOWSKI (OK, THIS IS A WRITE-IN VOTE, AND I THINK I SPELLED HER NAME RIGHT!)
Now, I need to go decompress from SKYLINE. And remember folks, don't walk into the blue light and if you have to get your brain eaten, have Leonard Nimoy do it the right way!

Vits, You're right on some points:

1)I rethought about Janet Jackson and replaced her with Thandie Newton who was even more of a caricature.

2)The Rock came off more as a supporting actor to me. Looked like he was on autopilot the whole movie and wanted out. As for Tracy Morgan, he was clearly Bruce Willis' foil.

3) This is a joke. Maybe I should change the Worst Screen Couple to John Travolta and his overexploited HEADBLADE!

4) You're right, which is why I substituted the whole cast of The Expendibles

5) This is a joke, but not as much of a joke as Joe Miller would be as a U.S. Senator.

PS- You're absolutely right about Dane Cook. Every time Cook opens his mouth, the audience yawns from the exposure to more anesthesia.

1)I haven't seen the movie, but I've heard all those actress's roles are equally important, so either they should all be lead or all be supporting.

2)I'm 100% sure Johnson is the lead. Morgan too, because he and Willis share the starring.

3)I'm guilty of choosing him as my worst comedian based only on movies and then putting him on my signature. Luckly in VH1 Latin America, November is "stand-up month" and I catch one of his old specials. He's staying on the signature.

I think the problem with nominating Crazy on the Outside for Worst Picture is that no-one's going to remember it, so we'd only be throwing a nomination away...

RESPONSE from Head RAZZberry: If RAZZIE® nominations were based solely on a film's being a box office bomb, CRAZY ON THE OUTSIDE (which grossed all of $88,335   http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=crazyontheoutside.htm - ) would be a shoo-in. But, yes, we do hope (if not assume) that our Voting Members are casting ballots for movies they have actually seen. As Head RAZZberry, I try to see everything that could be considered a likely RAZZIE® Contender, if only for the reason that I can then intelligently discuss (and diss) all the nominees when I do interviews about our awards...

First and foremost... Alice in Wonderland.  It's the worst thing this year.  It's so mind-numbingly bad I wanted to gouge out my eyeballs.  It's in line with so many former Razzie winners, I'd cry for days and days if I didn't see it on the preliminary ballot.

Burlesque'
s reviews suggest that, as I thought, it is safe to include on the preliminary ballot.  Many are comparing it to Showgirls and Glitter.  Aguilera, Cher, and Tucci, among others in the ensemble, are surely deserving of consideration.  I'll be sure to report back after seeing it tomorrow.

Thank you. This also reminds me what a sh*tty performance Hathaway gives too.

I did have Dev Patel on my list! However, "Alice In Wonderland"? Well, vote for it if you like, but it's not going to get much further than the nominee voting ballot, IF that. We have MUCH bigger fish to fry (no Tim Burton's "Big Fish" pun intended).

The Four Horsemen of the Moviepocalypse: uncalled for sequels/remakes/reboots, 3-D surcharges, untalented "celebrities", and anything with Michael Bay's name attached to it.

I agree with criticism of Alice and Burlesque, those are flawed movies. But they absolutely don't deserve any nomination. Razzies are suppouse to 'reward' actually worst movies (like Skyline), not those that weren't great but still have lots of value.

My point exactly. Razzies are not for "kinda bad" or "so-so" movies, they are for the bottom of the barrel, the worst of the worst, the unwatchable from start to finish. And while "Alice" and "Burlesque" had their fair share of problems, they weren't the thick, creamy, pieces of s*** that "Skyline", "Grown-Ups", "Killers", and "Fart Bender" were!

ABSOLUTELY.

Furry Vengeance, Killers, Jonah Hex, The Spy Next Door, Skyline, The Bounty Hunter, Vampires Suck, Saw 3D, Crazy on the Outside, Our Family Wedding, The Last Air-Bender, Grown Ups, My Soul to Take, Marmaduke... Dead

There are a lot of truly despicable films to choose from.

I'd prefer it if we limited our suggestions to the movies that got their own forums here.

There is no redeeming value in Alice in Wonderland.  Giving that trash a Razzie would be like getting to punch somebody who just stabbed you in your eyes for two hours.

Dude, there were at least 10 movies this year with less than 10% good reviews, and ALICE had around 50%. It's not gonna happen. Not trying to make you feel bad, but it's a fact. I know Saturn might cyber-punch me (the technology will exist some day)for saying this, but create your own awards and award the movies you want to.

Dude, if "Alice" was like being stabbed in the eyes for two hours, then all the movies JoeBoyden listed above were like being stabbed in the eyes, then having lemon juice and salt rubbed into the wounds, then getting pissed and s*** into your eye sockets.  In other words, "Alice" is the LESSER of much more evil movies.

Welcome to the forum, caloo20.

Are you aware that only half the movies you listed had good reviews, and the other half had mixed reviews? The only one with bad reviews is http://www.razzies.com/forum/grown-ups_forum443.html - GROWN UPS .

Remember Me is a horrible movie with a horrible ending that uses 9/11 as a cheap plot device.  http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/1211619-remember_me/ - It currently has a 28% on the Rotten Tomatoes meter , which is way too generous.  Even with the positive reviews, most everyone said the ending sucked.

And Caloo listed other bad movies as well...

People! Stop with ALICE! It won't happen! You're just wasting ballot space!

Are you aware that Christina's performance had better reviews than her co-stars'?

Why does Sly
have to be nominated?

I don't know if Gyllenhaal was bad, but he was certainly miscast. You know, for being white. Although most actors in that film were. Maybe it should be up for "Worst Ensemble"?

Usually I'm not this harsh, but I can't stand some of those suggestions. We'd need to nominate 40 other movies before we had space for The Expendables. That's one thing, but I have limited respect for a lot of the people who put plenty of nominations for movies that weren't bad enough to have forums here, like Alice in Wonderland and The Deathly Hallows! It makes NO sense that any of those could be worse than The Last Airbender, Vampires Suck, Killers, My Soul to Take, Jonah Hex, or Grown-Ups!
