WE'VE NEVER BEEN BIG FANS of SUPER-HERO MOVIES in GENERAL (THOUGH the FIRST TWO LATE 70s http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081573/movieconnections - and the 2008/INITIAL http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0371746/ - FILM WERE PRETTY COOL), BUT WE WERE KINDA HOPING http://www.razzies.com/forum/discussion-addl-info-on-green-lantern_forum532.html - WOULD GO AGAINST the GRAIN and ACTUALLY BE ENTERTAINING... THEN WE SAW IT. IN a YEAR TOP-HEAVY with DISAPPOINTING SUPERHERO and "TENT-POLE" MOVIES, SADLY, LANTERN IS JUST ANOTHER MISFIRE. CASTING the OFTEN LIKABLE http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005351/ - in the TITLE ROLE GAVE the FILM SOME PROMISE, but the CGI FX and CREATURES ARE MOSTLY SUB-PAR. AND IT'S NOT LIKE LANTERN RANKED UP THERE with http://www.boxofficemojo.com/franchises/chart/?id=superman.htm - , http://www.boxofficemojo.com/franchises/chart/?id=batman.htm - or http://www.boxofficemojo.com/franchises/chart/?id=spiderman.htm%20 - in TERMS of NAME RECOGNITION (OR BOX OFFICE POTENTIAL).
