While early reviews for RICKY BOBBY at Rotten Tomatoes are being surprisingly kind, at least one critic has compared TALLADEGA NIGHTS unfavorably to one of our 1983 Worst Picture nominees, declaring that this newest NASCAR film is "so sub-moronic and witless it makes STROKER ACE look like a sublime exercise in sophisticated comedy." I've just been there, John.

Right now, it's at 73% at Rotten Tomatoes, with an Uncertified Fresh rating.
A few more critics that push it a to the certified FRESH seal with their
approval, and we're looking at an unbelieveable surprise picture that I just
may be interested in going to see, even if it stars Will Ferrell.

I'm surprised, too, that it's getting this kind of attention, especially the
NASCAR kind of attention...product-placement, country-music, track racing
sequences, it just works I guess. Mostly the track racing sequences...

TALLADEGA just hit 75%, and it's gonna be certified FRESH.

Unbelievable! And it finished at #1 with about the estimated $50 million you
predicted. Better halt the razzing there.

Looks like I' m putting in dough to go and check out this hit...
