If you were releasing a movie directed by someone so loathed by movie-goers that you were willing to give up listing the names of your two stars in paid advertising just to avoid invoking the DGA clause that forces you to name the director in those ads...would you screen it early for film for critics?

Didn't think so! Here's a Rotten Tomatoes LINK to see if 100% of the critics at R.T. mention the "Anti-M" strategy when they review AFTER EARTH...

UPDATE from Head RAZZberry: As of mid-afternoon Pacific Time on the day before it's set to open, the Rotten Tomatoes number on AFTER EARTH (aka The Stealth Shyamalan Movie) is...15% (R.T. LINK). It does have 7 positive reviews...but it also has 39 negative ones.

Anyone still doubt it's "One of Ours"???

ONE FINAL, FUN UPDATE from Head RAZZberry: Because their "bottom line" is so dependent on movie studios' "For Your Consideration" ads each winter, trade papers' movie reviews tend to be of the kinder/gentler variety. So it was a surprise to us when today's Variety review of AFTER EARTH was littered with nasty remarks, put-downs and slaps in the face for M. Night Shyamalan

Here's the LINK to read Variety's review, which seems to further cement this film's fate as 2013's answer to JOHN CARTER...

ONE MORE FINAL (No, Really!) UPDATE from Head RAZZberry: Think of this extra/additional posting as our Forum's equivalent of LAST EXORCISM, TOO. I couldn't resist quoting the last line from today's slash-and-burn L.A. Times review of AFTER EARTH, which lays the largest portion of blame at the feet of M. Night himself:

"If you're still wondering whether AFTER EARTH is a disaster, the question is not if...but how big?"

Here's the LINK to read the entire review...ENJOY!
