Crix slashed and spurned this un-asked-for remake the way Freddy slashes his victims...

Here are both a MetaCritic LINK and an R.T. LINK to see how much blood-letting occurred when critrics set their eyes on NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 2010...

R.T. gave it 13%:"Visually faithful but lacking the depth and subversive twists that made the original so memorable, the remake lives up to its title in the worst possible way".

Roger Ebert gave it */****:"I stared at the movie with weary resignation. It consists of a series of teenagers who are introduced, haunted by nightmares and then slashed to death by FREDDY.So what?".

Richard Roeper gave it a B:"Stylish remake isn't as good as the original, but it has enough genuine scares to merit a mild recommendation".

Peter Travers gave it *.5/****:"It's the Bay touch you feel in the way actors register as body count, characters go undeveloped, and sensation trumps feeling.A nightmare, indeed".
