SAD NEWS from Ye Olde Head RAZZberry: Though primarily known as the star of the TV series ANDY OF MAYBERRY (literally the #1 Rated show of 1967-68) and MATLOCK (which ran for 9 years) Andy Griffith (who died today at the age of 86) was also in a handful of motion pictures. Among them is an "unsung classic" which still seems contemporary 55 years after it was made: 1957's A FACE IN THE CROWD. Directed by Elia Kazan and co-starring Patricia Neal, Walter Matthauand Lee Remick (in her movie debut) FACE is a fascinating look at media power, manipulation and corruption. It airs later this week on TCM (Info LINK)...
