All right here are my opinions on the lead actor nominees:

Best Actor:

Christian Bale was without a doubt the Best Batman in film history, and I'm glad he got this nomination ( I'm also glad that he was left off the razzie and stinker nomination ballots for Worst screen couple with Katie Holmes).

Pierce Brosnan is said to have done the best work of his career with The Matador. I haven't seen it yet, so I couldn't say whether I think he deserves to win or not.

Hayden Christensen was much better in this than episode 2, but I still found him to be a tad too wooden for my taste ( Although he has done good work in Life as a house and shattered glass), well at least the fans who have been pleading ( Some would say whining) his case will be happy.

Tom Cruise disappointed me in War of the Worlds, but that might have been because I was expecting to much after his (Despite what others think) great work in Minority Report and Collateral. I don't think he deserves the nomination for this award, but I'm not disgusted by it

Robert Downey Jr. has had a great year with Kiss Kiss Bang Bang ( Said by many to be the year's most underrated film) and Good Night, and Good Luck. I'm glad he got this nomination. Hopefully he'll be the high point of The Shaggy Dog.

Viggo Mortensen is who I (and probably Deadguy) think deserves to win this. Hopefully he will. Out of the performances in this category his is my favorite. I loved A History of Violence almost as much as Sin City.

I WAS HAPPY WHEN NAOMI WATTS WON. I DIDN'T THINK
SHE WOULD -- I THOUGHT JODIE FOSTER HAD IT.
I WAS DISSAPOINTED TO HEAR THAT THE ISLAND WON.
DIDN'T ALL THE CRITICS SAY THAT IT WAS ONE OF THE WORST FILMS OF THE YEAR?  I'M SHOCKED
