So, could they change the tag line to something like " Twilight: Making Extreme Pedophilia sexy!"  or perhaps "Twilight: That old dude Anna Nichole married had NOTHING on Edward"?

OOOH! I got it! "Twilight: When 200 years old you are, hook up with younger girls you will not, mmm." (Damn... My Yoda impression doesn't translate well to forums...)

Or "Twilight: Vampires Who Look Overally Sexy, Yet Don't Actually Have Sex Because The Stories Are Written By A Mormon"?

Ya know, I REALLY try to keep my humor cleaner and less dark on this site... You make it very hard with that one.

Perhaps I might have tried to word it differently, if I hadn't been prepping my mind for work at that time...

But I stand by my statement.

I already knew that these books were written by a Mormon. I've seen mostly girls read those books almost everywhere I go. And here's the thing to filmmakers, if you're going to make a movie, DO NOT make it to have everyone like it. It just doesn't work at all.
The Mormons were'nt really popular in the beginning, they're now becoming more popular, even in Hollywood.

Of course mostly girls are reading it, the film and books are marketed directly toward the 13 year old girl demographic. It's for the same crowd that would go gaga over Hannah Montana (or the Jonas Brothers)...

The books are not written for adults, and the movie is not made for adults, either. But then again, neither was Harry Potter -- and look at the cross-over appeal that one has enjoyed (although I adamantly believe the first 4 movies in that series just did not work in the slightest... The fifth one finally started to at least show some narrative coherence, although still not a great film).

Shows just how easy it is to please kids. I swear with Harry Potter, they could have just put a character named "Harry Potter" on screen doing just about anything for 2 hours, and kids would have made that a huge film. Now Twilight seems set to carry on that same tradition, pulling in huge numbers from teens, and maybe older women...

I swear I have a co-worker in her 40's who has bought 4 copies of this damnable film on DVD (and saw it at least 7 times in the theatre) not to mention she can recite the book like a preacher recites the bible... It's creepy!

Oh, my God, check out Eric D. Snider's hilarious take on the "Twilight"
movie.

And my two sisters include in there, though I already confirmed that one of those two hates Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus.

So they are both nuts for the Twilight crap, but at least one of them has some semblance of taste, and spurns the Hannah Montana/Jonas Brothers BS?

You know, there's a few more Twilight movies ready to be made, there's plenty of time to get the Jonas Brothers glitter paint on their face... *holds hand to imaginary earpiece* I'm being told that the Jonas Brothers are already covered in glitter paint.

But I dunno about you guys, but I've been hearing about them less and less, except for where people are mocking them, after the movie. Perhaps the ghost of Vanilla Ice is still at large, saving us from flash-in-the-pan musicians starring in movies.

Are you trying to imply that Vanilla Ice doesn't have staying power? You would be mistaken. No one has quite the staying power, nor the genius of Mr. Ice. Especially after he decided he wanted to be a rocker, not a rapper, and released his greatest hit "Ice, Ice, Baby" as a rock song called "Too Cold". Now he spends his days touring seedy little bars, showing he is still relevant, and in touch with the people!

Word to your Mother! :-P

Sad thing is, the "Too Cold" song actually exists, as do the bar tours... most of the rest of the above was just BS, though....

And let's not forget Vanilla Ice's movie "Cool As Ice", (or was it "Cold As Ice"?) and his camero in "Ninja Turtles 2" and his two stunts on "The Surreal Life". Now that's a legacy!

Vanilla Ice'scameo in Ninja Turtles 2 was a surreal moment. It just served absolutely no purpose, and he only got it because he was enjoying a good deal of popularity because of "Ice Ice Baby". To this day, I get that damn "Ninja Rap" song stuck in my head from time to time...

Ninja Rap shoulda won a mother!@#%ing Oscar. But no, I've heard a little of Vanilla Ice's remakes and rock songs. He also became friends with the Insane Clown Posse.

He needs to do another soundtrack so that he can win a Little Gold Naked Man statue ...

And Friends with ICP? Really? I suppose I can see certain stylistic similarities in their rock music...
