AS the CALENDAR WINDS DOWN EACH YEAR, FRONT-RUNNERS OFTEN EMERGE for ONE or MORE of OUR MAIN CATEGORIES. FOR 2010, SOME of THEM COULD BE WIDE OPEN RACES, BUT WORST ACTRESS IS a DIFFERENT STORY. WANNA GUESS WHO OUR FRONT-RUNNER THERE IS??
SO FEEL FREE to SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS and OPINIONS: DOES HOLLYWOOD's PREMIERE BAD-MOUTHING BRAT DESERVE to TAKE HOME the SPRAY-PAINTED GOLD THIS YEAR...OR IZ THERE SOMEONE ELSE YOU CONSIDER EVEN MORE RAZZIE®-WORTHY??
FOX, DRESSED LIKE CHER ATTENDING a HALLOWEEN
PARTY HOSTED by WILD, WILD WEST STAR ROBERT CONRAD
I think you just answered your own question: Do we need to create a forum just to discuss that??
RESPONSE from Head RAZZberry: If you read the complete entry above, it does not merely invite discussion of Fox, but encourages Forum members to post other/alternate Worst Actress choices for 2010...
Anyone else notice the creepy, old man staring at her from the rear view mirror?
The Four Horsemen of the Moviepocalypse: uncalled for sequels/remakes/reboots, 3-D surcharges, untalented "celebrities", and anything with Michael Bay's name attached to it.
At least Sandra Bullock has talent, and "All About Steve" was mildly entertaining.
Megan Fox has absolutely no acting talent whatsoever. She is hot, that's about it. I give her career 5 more years, tops - and that includes falling to the D-list, and doing a really bad made-for-cable movie, all about a "historical" woman no one has ever heard of...
Sarah Jessica Parker's unparalleled bad acting coupled with her disgusting features (both physically and mentally) should be enough for her to squeeze out a Razzie "win." There is always next year for Fox, and simply being hot should not give her a "one up" on Parker in my book. I will be extremely disappointed if Parker does not take home the spray painted gold this year; I was saddened by the mediocre reviews the first film received and felt that it was Razzie worthy. I hope to see "Sex and the City, Too" win an entire vine of Razzies this year!
Bigbar 4: You've obviously never seen The Last Airbender!
Right now, here are my nominations for worst actress (Beside Fox, of course.) "The Sex and the City Girls, Miley Cyrus, Jen Aniston, and Christina Aguilera" (Worthy mentions would include Katherine Heigl, The Colored Girls, Kristen Stewart, and Jennifer Lopez)
Elizabeth Hartman and Judith Barsi are much more talented and beautiful than Scarlett Johansson and Chloe Grace Moretz. Fact.
Okay, I guess I need to break down and see "The Last Airbender" but I am very skeptical and will be disappointed if MNS has "achieved" more to deserve a Razzie "win". Honestly, titles such as "The Village" and "The Sixth Sense" are quite Razzie worthy in my opinion, so I will go out on a limb and say that I will probably be pulling for it to take home a few spray painted golds. However, Parker dodged a serious bullet last year with "Did You Hear About the Morgans" and I really feel that it is her year for "Worst Actress" and I am looking to see "Sex and the City, Too" take home "Worst remake/ripoff/sequel". I have been hoping for this day since my significant other began watching the series and told me that she wants to "be cool and look good like Sarah Jessica Parker." I sadly informed her that I would probably chop my testicles off before they would go near her if she ever looked or acted anything like Carrie Bradshaw. I prefer Paris Hilton's acting to that of Parker, and will be eagerly awaiting "Sex and the City, 3" if she does not get a "win".
I can't help but think that Burlesque is going to steal the RAZZIE show, and as a result, Megan Fox will have to contend with Cher, who has not yet been nominated for a RAZZIE. Cher may have sung a few songs that, shall I say, have not aged well over the years, but if Burlesque is as bad as the trailers make it out to be, then this will be the first time she's starred in a total klunker.
Er, I thought Aguilera was the main star of Burlesque, not Cher...
RESPONSE from Head RAZZberry: Actually, both Aguillera and Cher "share" above-the-title billing on BURLESQUE, with Cher receiving first placement (See Poster Below). Until the film is actually seen, though, it won't be clear if Cher actually has enough screen time to justify a Leading Role nomination, or if a Supporting nod would make more sense...
Elizabeth Hartman and Judith Barsi are much more talented and beautiful than Scarlett Johansson and Chloe Grace Moretz. Fact.
There is only one review that I was able to find on imdb for "Burlesque", but the preliminary indication does not look "good". The reviewer may very well feel that "Battlefield Earth" is a good movie, but I highly doubt someone that was able to access a premiere would be irrational enough to give a Razzie worthy film such a good review. It got an eight out of ten and the article attempted to bash other recent musicals and make the claim that this movie may start a "resurgence" in the musical department. While I do not see this film accomplishing that feat, I tend to think that it will receive mediocre reviews.
Let's just hope that this reviewer is a big fan of Cher and Aguilera and that this film is indeed as poor as suspected.
Worst Actress: Sarah Jessica Parker (she was "robbed" last year; but I suppose you guys will tell me that Fox was "double robbed")
Considering MF has been famous for almost 4 years now, that means she has only ONE year of fame left! Then it's off to the porn industry with her!
The Four Horsemen of the Moviepocalypse: uncalled for sequels/remakes/reboots, 3-D surcharges, untalented "celebrities", and anything with Michael Bay's name attached to it.
I definitely see her doing Playboy within the next few years, but five years is entirely too generous for Fox. I still think she may get one more chance to "overachieve" yet again before she is being sold in gas stations and at newsstands. So, I think you are right on with your one year prediction (and the porn).
To be perfectly honest, when I was weighing who to give "worst actress" to last year, I had already narrowed it down to either Megan Fox (who can join Jessica Alba as being slightly more talented than Carmen Elektra or Paris Hilton) or Sandra Bullock, who has lots of talent, lots of clout and had full say on All About Steve (it was made by her own production company, after all), yet she made that awful mess anyway. I was already leaning towards Bullock when she made that announcement. At that point, I said to myself, "Why think on this anymore?"
Yes, a lack of talent is very bad, and can be hilariously bad at that. But to actually have a lot of talent, and squander it on something that is so bad it deserves to be heckled at every showing -- that to me is far more deserving.
And the same situation could occur between Cher and Megan Fox this year...
